Hi, just joined, just want to say that while fishing for fish, never seem to catch too many fish.( Never enough fish)...but always seem to get over my limit catching peaceful, satisfying moments at the water or on the water.
So I guess my motto on this blog will be something corny but applies:

Fishing for fish, but catching pure happiness

Very appropriate motto, There'll be plenty of days without fish but when you focus on the happiness, you might get surprised and catch a bunch.

Always good to hit the reset button and unwind , and if you can catch one in the process that's just a bonus.

I think if I scored every time I went it might get boring. For me it’s therapy & the hunt. Tight lines

Welcome JRFC,some of the best days spent afield doesn't require catching fish or seeing deer but simply enjoying nature.

Fishing the upper peace river tributaries and boca grande pass. Started reading this blog months ago. Jumped in because I had a question about using bright green glow lights from bass pro, how well they worked , info , tips, I just never fished much at night and never before with any type of light. The question is on the main forum titled underwater fishing lights.

We catch ( hook, but not always catch. Lol) everything. These waters yield all type of things. I said things. Lol. I don’t target anything specific. Snook, snapper, tarpon, catfish, turtles, gar, gators, I cast out the shrimp or minnow. Or fake green minnow. With various depths in mind so various weights. And pull them in. And learn go. I guess...I’m very old school... two hooks with chunks of peeler crab, on a hand line over the side in the Chesapeake bay, was how I learned as a boy. My ggggreat grandfather and etc were watermen. It’s a long story.
