Being new to the site, I thought maybe throw one out to people. I have been tying knots for slip bobber fishing. I have them on Ebay. 50 knots and 3.5mm beads. $6.00 free shipping.

How many people use bobber sops for more then just bobbers? I have been using them as scent attractors and pegging worm sinker in different locations on my line. Like have a bullet sinker 6 to 18 inches ahead of a floating worm.

Can you post a picture? I just bought like 300 of them wire loops, but I'm not real happy with em. I use some pretty light line and I can't get them to tighten down on it very well. I'd like to see yours?

Yeah please show us where to get em. YES Bobber Stops are the way to fish shrimp cocktail in a hole and change the depth by moving it. Hey Spirit can you use two needle nose or hemostats to tighten the knot tighter?

Haven't tried, but I will see if that works. They're really tiny and hard to get hold of. But I'll see. Pretty sure when I tried one at the lake I just used my fingernail to snug it down and got it as tight as I could like that, and it just slid all over the place when I cast it. Okay once it hit the water. But it would just settle where ever it wanted rather than where I wanted.

I’ve definitely had them not get tight enough or loosen up later too. I agree the longer the little leads are the easier to get them tight on mainline. I’m just visualizing getting little leads wrapped around tip of tiny needle nose then squeeze handles before pulling could get them tight. I have found that some of them are just a little better than another batch or brand. There on little straws. A guy taught me how to use Dacron and just make my own right on the line but it’s been so many years I don’t remember the number of wraps and the knot etc. maybe I should google it. When we tied them with Dacron right on the line we could have real long leads them snip them off.

Jeremy... you , I believe, are speaking of "tie ons"
Spirit.... you, I believe, are speaking of the little rubber nubs, that comes on a wire(as you said).

Guys... almost nothing in common, except both are bobber stops.
NO .... you definitely CANNOT "tighten" a little blob of rubber by "squeezing it tighter", Jeremy. You CAN tighten a KNOT, however.

Re: Spirit's prob..... I have used the little rubber-type in tandem and somehow it doesn't slip when there's two. Personally, I have found them just as useful as bead stops when fishing soft beads or pegging a corky or yarnball, at the terminus of a bobber-dogging rig. By doing so, I discovered that the the practice of using a corky ABOVE the slip bobber, not only provides a "bumper", but a visual as to whether the bobber is riding all the way up to the stopper.
I do always cringe at the crease in my line, when I put my line through the wire loop and slide the rubber stop onto the line itself. I usually do it close to the end of the line to avoid having the crease in a critical area and not have much "time"(length to pull through) with the line being doubled inside the rubber.... something that could easily stretch the inside of the stop, making it slip, or at least be a weaker "grip" on the line, particularly on lighter weight lines, which, Spirit, you have mentioned you favor
All that said....yes, original poster, some might be interested, and sounds reasonably priced. However, I believe Admin of Fishing Stage frowns on promoting any sales on this site. Maybe we could encourage them to add a "For Sale, and a "For Trade" and a "For Free, pay shipping" section.
I would certainly be interested, and use it. Let's hear from those who would encourage that additional category.

I would be in agreement to the addition of a sale or trade category. It would give people an extra place to shop for and or acquire fishing supplies.

Been tying and using bobber stops for years. A coffee straw and some thin yarn or even a heavy braid fishing line will get it done. Great for crappie fishing

I use slip bobbers with factory stops a lot. Work great on braided line but don’t hold real well on anything else. I’d be interested in looking at what you have for sure. Thanks. Do you have a picture?

I don't use the rubber stops at all any more....too many slippage problems. I use the string stops without a problem. We also use them ice fishing to mark the depth we are fishing on tip-up lines and also keep one 30 inches above the hook to know when we are getting our catch close to the bottom of the hole. They make great adjustable markers.

Just use small fishing line to tie a uni knot on your main line an if the knot is to small you may have to use a bead between the bobber an knot. Works great
