Yes two legged predators in Paterson
I would love to fish the great falls but it is not someplace you want to visit by yourself. I heard the river holds pike too. Caught a small one there many years ago.
Even though I enjoy catching tons of fish . I remember it like diner and dinner . Two Ps because you want more strippers.
I live in New Jersey. Strippers live in the river the first year after they are born in fresh water. So get out there and get good at catching smaller fish.
Dude 10lb test ? That is your issue for sure . 6lb should be fine but with 4 you can throw 1/16 and 1/32 too
Mine is the Peacock too. They have them in South Florida but I am in NJ.
I love them too. Love that big mouth. Pumpkin seeds are my favorite when it comes to color. I wish I knew how to post a picture ??
So fish for trout and Salmon then water might bento cold for Largemouth but maybe there are smallies
Carteret waterfront park. It's on the Arthur Kill. Very nice pier. Great for bluefish and stripers. I don't think they allow crabbing.
Check out access for the Rahwah river too.
I fish union beach and Paul's beach too
My light tackle is great for schoolies . I have a Penn 430 with 10lb and 12 lb for bigger fish in the bay. Use a 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz casting spoon with that.
Carp forage on the bottom releasing bubble from decaying vegitation. A lot of bubble with some movement in the same area. I cast and jig hard in that area. They are curious and check out your jig
I have a 10 foot kayak. I fish with a small Penn 420 reel on a 6 foot ugly stick. I throw 1/4 oz cast master looking spoons but also throw 1/8 oz white curly tail grubs. 6 lbs test
I use a 1/4 oz cast master looking casting spoon. I catch small stripers that were born in fresh water. White Pearch and smallies.
Are the snapper blues in yet???
I am grey from my girls too. Wife and daughter
The small mouth will hit streamers too in moving water.
Enjoy the bluegills while they last. They are a guality fish to fight
