Last day to fish before the weather came in and the last fish of the day. 21" but I did not weigh it. He gave a great fight and thrilled the little boy and his family fishing next to me. Turned him back to possibly give someone else some fun, or maybe feed the beautiful bald eagles I saw flying around. I caught it on corn. I use a snelled hook suspended about a foot off the bottom, tight line, holding the pole with my finger hooked in the line. I was at Moon Lake, one of the ponds they stock at Ft. Riley. I wish I would have cleaned it off before the photo. He swam away good. Thanks for the thrill buddy.
The cats showed up. I got to break in the pink pole. Buddy, Cal caught a white one, beautiful fish. Quit early when the wind rocked us too much. Milford reservoir using cut bait drifting 15mph. Quit with the wind hitting 25. Good day on the lake.
Oh wow, :( I've not heard that but wind and water can make a dangerous situation for sure. I like a little chop, makes the walleye bite.
No fees to get in. You still have to check in/out, they keep your DL, then let you through the gate. Both lakes are beautiful. They allow up to 5 boats on the top lake. The lower lake is seldom crowded
I didn't even check the water temp... I'll bet you are close in you guess, ghaynes.
These were fun to catch. Spastic fish, hahaha. Jeffrey energy center upper lake a few days ago on rattle traps. The temp was only 104⁰ Ahh, Kansas in July.

That’s a good one. We’re you using bottom bouncers trolling?

Yesterday, my buddy caught it, I netted it and got the photo op.Good ol Tuttle Creek, Manhattan, KS
Wonderful. All the way around. Congratulations!
Holy Smokes! Nice Smalleys!
Whoa! Nice fish. Looks like the pond needs rain as much as we do. Thank you for sharing!
Sounds like my kind of day!

Flerjose3,
Most impressive on a crappie setup. Thanks for the pictures.
A couple questions:
1. Were these caught from boat or shore?
2. What did you get them on?
Got the crappie on white tube jig/ bobber slow retrieve, got the bass on mepps minnow.
