These 2 LM Bass gave my crappie pole a run for its money! Heck of a walk to get to the watershed but it was worth it. KDWPT has a map of walk in fishing if it helps someone fishing in Kansas.

Is it too much to ask about the location? I'm in Northeast Kansas and looking for a quiet place to fish.
Thanks

It does look like a good pan full. Good places to fish are sometimes hard to get to.

Not too much to ask at all... There is a watershed just west of Lillis on the south side of bobcat road. South Bank, pulled them out of a beaver lodge looking for crappie. Mepps minnow. They attacked it! Also got some crappie.

Beautiful fish! Nice size crappie!
Thereā€™s fishing in Kansas? When I was stationed at Ft Sill I had a friend named Deeds who invited me to the family farm outside of Dodge City. He asked me what I wanted to do and I said, go fishing. And He asked where? I thought that there was nothing nearby but maybe he just didnā€™t want to go. Lol
Talk about flat land. Best steak I ever ate at a bar in front of the cattle stockyards.

Oh, Kansas is flat out west. I live in the beautiful FlintHills of NE Kansas. We have a great variety of fish species. Walleye, Crappie, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Wipers, all the cats too; blues, channels, flatheads. Our Flint Hills are the best beef grazing grass in the nation. Thanks for the post. Fish on!

Nice looking crappies and bluegill. Ellis, Ks is 224 miles from my location so I'll look for something a little
closer to home. Thanks for letting me know, definitely would like to fish the watershed. Good looking
water behind you in the photo. Good fishing to you..........

Flerjose3,
Most impressive on a crappie setup. Thanks for the pictures.
A couple questions:
1. Were these caught from boat or shore?
2. What did you get them on?
