I got a REEL DEAL at a pawn shop a few months ago. Don't usually shop in those places but one day I had some time to kill and decided to go in one, here in town; I saw some rod and reels on a rack, got to looking at them and saw a Shimano reel on a rod, but the reel didn't have a handle, the ticket price was $14.99, didn't even pay any attention to the rod, told the guy at the counter that I'd give him $10.00 for the outfit and he accepted. Got home and looked up the reel, it was a Shimano Stella made for the Japanese market worth over 700.00 and then checked out the rod, it's a Gloomis NRX 921S worth over 600.00!! I made out like a bandit on that one. Got a handle for the reel for 15.00. I'll probably never get another deal like that again!! My luck is usually the opposite of that!!

Shrimp the fresher the better and I also put a small piece of fishbites (bloodworm) on the hook as well, that way if the nibbles get the shrimp off the fishbites stays on for several bites. It's really tough to get off. Sometimes that's all I bait with. Works really good for sea mullet (whiting).

About the same, everyone around here call nearly all panfish, bream!

That wouldn't be too good, holding a lightning rod in your hand, while in an aluminum boat. But have been dumb enough to stay until the last minute

With the Trokar brand name, they are gonna cost you more than most other hooks, but that is a great hook. Bass Pro, Academy Sports, Tackle Warehouse would be my start, but look online, you may find them alittle less costly elsewhere. Tight lines!

While fishing a bass club tournament, a copperhead snake was swimming a couple feet from the shore, my partner, who was fishing with a topwater bait said, I'm going to catch that snake and DID!! Less than an hour later, he did the same thing!!! And no we didn't win the tournament, that day!!

Academy Sports and Tackle Warehouse are also good.
