What is your opinion on your guide fishing while you are? The question was asked of me when I returned from a trip.
I go on guided trips been on 2 already this year getting ready to go on another in April
Most guides I think are very good
They should know the area you are fishing
They should be responding to your needs
They should not get angry when you mess up
They are there to help you ( if you want it )
They CANNOT give you a Guarantee of fish
They should be trained in first aid
They should have good equipment
They should make you feel like a buddy
You don’t know the area ( most of the time )
You should ask if you need help with something
You should know alittle about what you are doing but your going to mess up sometime
You should treat your guide with respect he is working hard to show you a good time
You should ask about the equipment you will
Be using ( you may want to use that new rod you just bought )
You should get to know your guide ( talk to them)
You should ask if your not sure about anything or maybe a misunderstanding
If the guide gives you a good time tip them
After a while the guide will know what you can do or can not do. They do this every day they know where the fish like to be you may have never fished this area listen to them
They have done this for years. They have the training and knowledge. And they have put their money down for the boats motors
Electronics rod reels ect. This is what they do. As you know what you do on your job
Hope this helps with your questions
But just my opinion
