Thanks Chuck.
I'm land locked. Till I get home.
The boat is being detailed and serviced this week. While I'm camping.

We rented kayaks at DeSoto (they deliver them to your campsite) and caught a mess of snapper back in the mangroves. That's what got me interested in kayak fishing.

Hey, gang. What are your favorite jigs for bluegill? I like maribous and tiny tubes.

The family got out late today as the rain swung thru for a bit then headed to Sanders Ferry Pizza before heading out on the water….ran from Anchor High Marina across to some spots on the west side but nothing but a few nibbles….I suggested we run back on the east side but I was the only one fishing by now… threw a silver rattletrap w/ blue top and orange stomach in and ran a pass along the 12’ line, marking at 6’….boom, 75 yards into the pass fish on!!! Moved Nana to the stern and let her do what she do lol Nana 1, Bill, Carol and I zip 😂 how I love fishing with her 🥰

I use black/blue and Ana anything pumpkinseedy. Pumpkinseed with chartreuse tail is my go-to.

As for the twitch, it’s all in the wrist ;-)

Spotted bass, hybrid, stripers, and crappie are what I do best with. I’ve caught some massive red ears, too. Good eating!

Hey gang, I’ve got a small fishing kayak and after capsizing in Lanier due to a wake boat, I’m looking for some quieter lakes to fish. I go to Juliette frequently and just tried Seed Lake on the Talulah River. Do you have any other suggestions
For Georgia or any of our neighboring states? I work remotely, so I don’t mind driving a few hours and staying several days.

I’ve done some sloppy wading in the marsh on occasion, but I usually fish the creek and river in my kayak.

Try Bull River, Tybee Creek, and the salt marshes on Tybee.

Your are certainly welcome. Hoping one day to graduate from catching bait to catching larger fish. Still, I get joy from catching almost anything, eels being a possible exception.

Same here! My personal best is 3 lost lures and a bird's nest on my bait caster.

Greg, if you enjoy catching smaller fish, there is a fisherman's pier on the south end of Tybee Island and fishing in the surf around that area is good also. I have caught numerous small whiting, spots, and a wide variety of other small fish, stingrays, and eel. On a good day with a dual bottom "fish finder" rig I have caught one or two small fish every time I threw out some frozen shrimp. A lightweight fishing outfit capable of throwing a 1ounce weight is all you need for this type fishing. In the late evenings I have had good luck catching 10 to 20 pound sharks using spots for bait, but I normally use a larger rod and reel. You also have the Tybee main fishing pier where I have seen them catch some really large reds, stingrays, and sharks although the action seems slower for the larger fish. Tides4fishing.com gives some fishing days and times for the best fishing conditions. However, using their best fishing conditions recommendations have not consistently resulted us catching the most fish. Good luck.
