How do you twitch your worm?

I don’t mean that worm.

A zoom trick worm Texas rig with a 1/8th oz bullet weight, I’ve been told that it’s all in the twitch, too fast or too slow and they don’t care but just right and it drives them crazy and they have to have it.
Talking bass here, spots and largemouth.
Trying to learn what the just right twitch is.
Also what is your best color to use?

Uncle T, at 73 the twitch comes naturally From shaky hand syndrome.

On the serious side it depends on the rod length for me. Try different wrist twitches in shallow water where you can see the twitching and then in the depths you want to target.

As for color that depends on water clarity for me.

Just never know if it should be subtle or a short jump or in between, trying to figure out the one they can’t resist if there is really such a thing, as for color I never really know what to use, I think about the matching the water color but I am usually using white or a whitish color or black or a dark color or pink, I’ve been doing good with pink lately

Tough call Uncle T. Until you get a few hits or catches, it's just called fishing. I just got more into fresh water fishing this year so still a newbie at it myself. Hopefully the more experienced folks will help you out later.

Maybe later try a different topic and mention bass in the topic. Some folks look for different words to open a thread.

A lot of times it can be just a slow pull off the bottom if you’re talking a T-rigged worm. A wacky rigged Senko you want to let it hit bottom and then tap, tap, tap as you reel slowly. Then pause, let is sink and tap, tap, etc. A shakey head sits on the bottom and you can tap the base of your rod butt to get a small vibration moving through your line. My recommendation, as stated above, lots of TOW (time on water)and experimenting different cadences. Remember, what they liked yesterday, does not necessarily translate to success today. Good luck, tight lines.

Yes they never act the same way twice for me, usually they just shake their tails at me.
Do you know why fish jump?
Because they don’t have middle fingers

I've been told that "It's not how deep you fish, it's how you wiggle your worm".

.....was that a compliment, or not?

I have been told that it is all in the movement of the tail. In my experience when the tail is ripped off it means that i have to replace the plastic if I want another hit. white, flo green, black with red are my colors. Perch look a likes are good to go up here also.

I have some white and florescent green black I think even some black with red flakes, might try some of those different colors Tuesday, sometimes if the tail is ripped off I can use it on a drop shot wacky rigged and it works (sometimes)

I use black/blue and Ana anything pumpkinseedy. Pumpkinseed with chartreuse tail is my go-to.

As for the twitch, it’s all in the wrist ;-)
