Hi everyone,
I have a Shimano reel that has been decent, but I constantly have to take it apart because at the lowest end of reeling in the spool it will stick. I have tried to lift the little metal stopper up and that still hasn't fixed it.
I also think I am being skunked a lot and will try a new reel.
Suggestions for trout and bluegill reels?

There are a lot of places to fish without paying these costs. Here in OC, I buy an annual parking pass and can fish at all the local lakes for 40 bones a year. Irvine, Laguna Niguel, Mile Square, are examples. Puddingstone has a cost.

I have fished Irvine and Laguna Niguel without any luck. Irvine just stocked trout but Laguna hasn't in weeks. A 9 lb LMB was caught at Irvine last Friday, although I didn't catch him.

I have been skunked now three times in a row. It still nice to feel the sunshine since I live in Southern California
My local lakes say they stocked trout but I can’t find them
Any suggestions

Hi all,
I used to teach math and computer science and this was a critical concept to understand. A computer would have answered 5 as well and you would have the wrong answer.

Another thought, when someone asks you a question like this, give it a thought before providing an answer. If it was really that easy they wouldn't have ask you the question.

Now I need simple math like this to find fish. Not many bites in my local lake in the past month. I think they stocked 5 trout in the lake instead of the 3000 lbs they said they would :)

May is a great time to fish for Bluegill. I was catching about 40 in a night, wife caught 23 in the same night. We haven't caught that many fish in the last 3 months :( Enjoy the time with Grandsons!

Hi everyone,
I am not sure I should make this offer but I know an store owner in San Diego that has a direct tie to kayak dealers. Let me know directly if you need assistance.

Hi everyone,
This topic about trout setup went a little off topic. What is the best setup to catch stocked trout? My lakes in Southern California were recently stocked.

Hi I am going to try Lake Spinner this weekend. My local lakes the fish are asleep. I will let you know how it goes.
I saw a picture on Lake Hemet and a woman caught a 7.7 lb trout from her kayak. I can't even sit in a kayak without fear of turning over much less land a monster like this. There are pictures so it must be real.

hi Pixiedog,
I don't use a lot of repellent but I do carry it with me. I like your advice, maybe I'll put this in a bag to avoid spreading the smell.

Hi everyone,
During the spring and summer caught a lot of fish, blue gills, largemouth bass and catfish. Now they are gone. I am new to fishing but it is frustrating I went from catching 20 bluegill and 5-8 bass in one night to nothing. I am going out to Puddingstone tomorrow on friends boat.
Any suggestions on what to change?
I went from live bait to texas rigs, to chatterbait to worms, to lures to, on and on.

It is sad that these comments are true. I would buy the book for a dollar when you publish it :)
