Fishing in So California

Hi everyone,
During the spring and summer caught a lot of fish, blue gills, largemouth bass and catfish. Now they are gone. I am new to fishing but it is frustrating I went from catching 20 bluegill and 5-8 bass in one night to nothing. I am going out to Puddingstone tomorrow on friends boat.
Any suggestions on what to change?
I went from live bait to texas rigs, to chatterbait to worms, to lures to, on and on.

It sounds like you know the basics.
What you might not know is bug repellent will turn fish away from bitting. Many fishermen apply the very first thing they do. They spray on repplent then rub around, then handle the lures, bait and tackle.
The fish are turned away.

hi Pixiedog,
I don't use a lot of repellent but I do carry it with me. I like your advice, maybe I'll put this in a bag to avoid spreading the smell.
