No snow at lake level could see some higher up and i didn't see anyone from shore catching fish

Went to Pinecrest lake yesterday had a few chances but came home empty handed.Guess a little rusty first time out this year. Nothing finer than to be on the lake though

Ranger I had one of my fishing buddies hit McSwain yesterday and didn't get a bite water high fast and muddy.What I heard about the derby that not many fish were caught not many boats also rumor has it probable June before the lake is fishable.

It's a little early in the valley for trout fishing,you may have some luck for bass at Del Valle.If you don't mind a little drive I would recommend Mcswain which is east of Turlock Ca.

I would recommend McSwain it's east of Turlock.The lake is planted almost weekly there's cabins for rent and a really nice area.I fish there a lot.Lake Alpine is also nice a bit of a drive to Bear Valley,they have cabins also

No need to haul a boat all the way to Alpine when one can limit in a couple hours. Would love to try fly fishing but again what the point when you can limit just soaking bait.

Thick was there last week big T storm washed all the deet off had some nice bites on me also fish today I think I used the whole can but the trout feeds on them going to take up fly fishing lol
