My buddy used to live in Manteca. We would walk a few hundred feet to a place that served free peanuts and have super ice cold beer on tap. Old dude was at bar with a pile of peanut shells going half way up his pant leg.

Thanks Hal. How were the mosquitos up there? I went up there last year and they tried to carry me off. And I had left my deet at home.

Was 91-93. I’m trying to look at maps but can’t remember the street. Might of been Alameda.... maybe. The place was very cool temperature inside when hot hot hot out. Brew was super cheap and very cold. Peanuts all over the floor. It was so long ago can’t remember name. Buddy was mike. He moved to Modesto. Works for Yellow Freight. He got screwed BT when they merged and went broke. Should be retired now has several years left.
