I caught 12 big Crappie Friday afternoon off my dock. I was going to go in my boat however I threw a line from the dock and brought in 1 & a half ponder. So I just sat on the dock and caught 12 of the biggest crappie I have ever caught from my pond. I keep them in a wire basket in the water. Next morning my Daughter fixed my breakfast and when I started eating she said "Good News, Bad news". I said what . She said two or three of the fish died during the night. Good news, she let the rest loose from the basket. Oh My God what was she thinking. She is an animal lover, owns pet goats, pet chickens, dogs and pet ducks . I said nothing. Her home is right behind the dock of the lake. I decided I love her more than a fish dinner.

Those were called Lucky Thirteens in my day and they have been varied in a lot of colors, for instance , a friend of mine had a "Scrambled Egg" version. It looked like it had been immersed in scrambled eggs. It was his all time favorite lure.

Sorry, but I have fished for Crappie many, many years and there has never been one with those dimensions. You could have measured him and weighed him back at one of the landings on Lake Seminole. I can't even imagine a Crappie that size. Maybe you caught a Hybrid bass or fresh water flounder. That sounds much like the 26 pound bass a friend of mine refused to mount because he was cockeyed.

I have the Ulterra I Pilot with remote and other features, but you cannot update it to I pilot LINK! Go for the I pilot Link or one of the other motors that can be updated with the Link system.

I fished out of the area of Goat Island but I doubt I will go back. I had nothing but bad luck when fishing there. If I go back it will be with a guide. I had an uncle that lived at Jacks Creek fish camp but he is deceased and that place is closed down.

Just a few times on that lake and you will stump hunt, not to mention quite a few alligators.

Fish the dam area and the river channels with live Blue Gill, live Shad and cut bait. There are many stumps under water everywhere so follow channel markers . Dangerous lake of 115,000 acres.

If you are catching 4 lb Crappie your electric scales have a dead battery. Crappie are as fickle as a beautiful woman . Yes one day, Never the next day.

Reminds me of the Blonde that went for her yearly physical and upon completion of the exam the Dr. congratulated her on being pregnant. The blonde exclaimed denial, saying it was impossible. She argued with the Dr.for quite some time before she finally accepted his findings. She asked if he could tell her one more thing. The Dr.said certainly, what is it. She replied "Are you convinced that it is mine?"

We are hearing that you could get a hefty ticket in California in your boat if you don’t all have the same address up to 1000$ Has any one heard of that. It has been 5 weeks since we have been out I need my mental health time!

I think that the problem has been that it is not possible for fishermen to maintain the seven foot of separation when in boat with another.
