I reside on a private lake in Adams County PA its a 300 acre lake spread out over 2 counties deepest depth is 46 ft. The crappie fishing was great up until this cold spell and wind . We were pulling out close to 4Lb'ers (released) on live minis. Since the change of weather its nothing at all not even a nibble seems they have gone deeperrrrr the others we caught where at 16 ft or near.

Any thoughts Ive toyed with the idea of using live Mini's with ground bouncers
or using my down rigger and lures maybe silver with rattles. Will wait til warmer weather fri ???????????? ANY THOUGHTS

getting old with the cold

Same here, was catching some each day out for over a week then they just disappeared. I know their normal area but can't reach it from the bank. Also they should be bedding as most I caught had eggs

IMO just old Mother Nature Barometric Pressure messed you up. Every time a cold front comes through my place, the fishing shuts off until the barometer gets back to around 30. I personally don’t even get on the water after a front comes through.

I'm out early when I do go, the bass are in the shallows at first light and work them for a while. Haven't missed so far this year and starting to see a few smaller brim around. When we get past this up and down weather things will improve

See the same in the surf. Cold front coming fish all over. After it passes they get lockjaw.

I just got a new Twin Troller sitting in my garage not able to be used because our DMV offices are closed. I need to register the trailer, the boat and upgrade my license to a boat license also. Earliest time frame so far is 4/26 to reopen, all things considered.

Thanks all figured so sit and wait.
I'm trying fri its supposed to be 70????? gotta catch some minies in the near by creek hope their not tight lipped. And for sure I'm fishing deeper than usual might just dock fish if its windy as I have a pontoon boat a few days ago I dragged two anchors across the lake in nothing flat. Pontoons are nice but in reality act like a sail boat

did you mount your fish finder to the bottom of the trolling motor its where I mounted mine as I have a pontoon boat. Wonder if its gets false readings from cavitation for sure I can't cruise fish with my engine (not troller) and heard stories that trollers spook fish

don't know about New Jersey but can not in PA HUHHHHHH???? and it's all done on line usually. I'm sure there is a stupid reason why and does the computer wear a mask? And do you have to stand back 6 foot lets see East Berlin is how many miles from Harrisburg am sure its over 6 feet

Try using a cicada or blade bait. Vertical jigging might turn them on

If you are catching 4 lb Crappie your electric scales have a dead battery. Crappie are as fickle as a beautiful woman . Yes one day, Never the next day.
