How is everyone doing? I hope you’re all catching a lot of fish. I’m heading out to Pueblo Co. to see my son next week and I will be fishing the Arkansas River there. My question is what are the best flys and what size to use and also what spinners and what colors? Thank you for any information. Tight lines to all
I was on a fly in trip to goin resivour back in 2016. Our main walleye lure was a 1/4 oz. jig head with a 4” yellow twister tails, we caught a few thousand, it was unbelievable. We’re going back up this year at the end of May, can’t wait. I guarantee you will have a great fishing experience
I been using the navionics map cards for years, I run the St. Lawrence river, Canada trips, etc. I have two, one in a lowrance and one in a hummingbird, I love them, you can go to navionics.com and click on the chart plotter to look at certain lakes for depths. Shoals, etc. they are pricey but to me there worth it. Good luck and tight lines.

Live crab or live mullet for bait. That's what is used in the keys.
Thanks Gordon, we are having a guy over there pick us up some frozen squid.
How are all you guys doing? My wife and I are heading to Megan’s bay in St. Thomas for a week, we are leaving on Sat. The 27th and I would like to catch some tarpon, any of you guys have any suggestions? I will be using spinning equipment. Thanks and have a great turkey day and tight lines

I have been running 8lb mono on my Sienna 3000, and was thinking about tossing on some braid. Never used anything except mono, so not sure where to start. Any recommendations on size and brand? Do I spool it just like I would mono? Can I use the 8lb mono as a leader?

I been using power pro braid for years and I love it, for bass I usually run a 10 lb floro leader and for trout I use a 8 lb floro leader
One of the best ways to catch SB is a watermelon black flake senco on a mega strike shaky head. This special shaky head keeps the worm angled up so it looks like a gobie or bait fish feeding on the bottom. Good luck
Thanks for the info Bunyan, my wife and I took a ride to lake Pueblo state park in Colorado today to check it, I talked o a guy at the marina, he told me it is really pressured and most of the smallmouth are small. He did say the walleye fishing was better though. Tight lines
I’m hearing lake Pueblo is good fishing, anyone have any information? Thanks. Tight lines to all
Captain, would that lake be Lake Pueblo State Park? Also is there bass in the lake? Thanks and tight lines.
Thanks captain, I’ll check it out
Thanks, yea that was one of my plans, I’m out here now and I see some boats being towed, I’ll try to talk to these guys if I see them fueling up, etc.
My son is moving to Pueblo CO, I am an avid fisherman from Pa. Therefore when my wife and I visit I want to get on the water, I usually fish rivers for trout and lakes for bass. Any suggestions? Thanks and tight lines.
