You can beer batter them and deep fry them or just breadcrumb them and fry them you won't be disappointed either way. There are not many places that have them on a menu but there are some.

Ya hemi especially if that's all your catching and they say they taste like flounder cant wait I suppose you get two chunks of meat like a catfish no?

There is a trick to cleaning them (Puffers) which you can find on line I would describe it if I was a better typer. You get two nice little chunks of meat that kind of resembles a chicken leg less the bone. Puffer is my very favorite fish to eat as long as they are Northern Puffers. They are called squab of the sea. Fish are what they eat puffer love crabs and shrimp like sheeps head they eat the same things including barnacles and have that clean taste. If you go on line you can find a demo a black guy shows the easiest way to clean them and it is really easy. All you need is a sharp knife and a sturdy dinner fork. You'll see what I mean.

That is a nice one in your picture wish ours were that nice. The meat is as clear and white as flounder and just as tasty and I really love puffer fish might as well keep some when you run into them that is all that's around.

Important to wet the knot if it has turns like the cinch knot or the heat of cinching it down will really weaken the line.
The saliva helps keep the line cool as you cinch it.

We don't seem to get told the truth about anything anymore. Besides the people stuck in that horrible country I can't believe the sophisticated weapons we left behind. I was in the 101rst in the 50's and we were taught you never leave anything behind the enemy can use against you. You take it with you or destroy it. Now the Chinese will get stuff they can reverse engineer and eventually use against us. We are begging the Taliban to please let our people into that air base. Makes me sick lets go back and get them with whatever it takes then get the hell out.

Use very small jigs with curly tails if there are blue gills or crappie around they will bite it. When the water gets really hot you need to find a shady area in the shade of a tree or something under a dock or board walk anywhere they can have shade and cover. Good luck. Maybe tip the jigs with a bit of nite crawler also.

The first thing my dad taught me was patience. I have used that gift all my life and it separates me from guys that are in too much of a hurry. The guys who do catch fish are the ones you need to get to know and go with. You can
learn a lot on you tube do something different. Learn your area what baits fish hit on in that area get to know a fisherman. You will catch fish if you learn from guys who do catch fish. Good luck. What area do you live and fish in maybe one of us can teach you something specific.

shoulder injury makes most fishing tough, but when the pain starts to subside in your shoulder you need to go fishing. Give it a little time don't make things worse.

Sometimes the puzzle pieces all come together. Heavy fog at daybreak, so I spent the first hour working on the sonar just looking. Right when fog lifted, I found what I was looking for. Caught 30 plus fish, with about a dozen between 3-6 lbs. Biggest fish tipped the scale at 6.2 lbs (personal best smallie since moving to Montana). The big guy upstairs blessed me with an awesome day… only boat on the water too. Hope you enjoy photos. Tight lines to all

Nothing compares to running into a school of smallmouth. I love that fish and what they put into every fight.

Caught about 15 yesterday while fluke fishing. I kept the three largest and made breaded “robin fingers”. For those that think they are junk fish, you should try them. As tasty as fluke, after all, they eat the same things. Cleaning them is not that hard once you get the hang of it.
Try it, you’ll like it. 😁

You are correct great to eat if you can find them large enough I always keep large ones and all puffer fish.

My finger dexterity has really deteriorated the past couple years. Arthritis
Tying knots takes a lot more effort than it used to
I am really anal about my knots.
If it don’t come together perfectly or it don’t look exactly like it should, I’m cutting and re tying.
I have been using more complex knots like the FG , Alberto, San Diego jam etc
Seems I’m doing a lot of re tying alot lately
Anyone else have problems with your fingers not doing what you want

I got the Knot Needle from Amazon and it takes some practice but it helps me with the same condition. They
have a demonstration web site that shows the inventor tying all kinds of knots. Look at the videos first and see if it could help you.
