Sometimes the puzzle pieces all come together. Heavy fog at daybreak, so I spent the first hour working on the sonar just looking. Right when fog lifted, I found what I was looking for. Caught 30 plus fish, with about a dozen between 3-6 lbs. Biggest fish tipped the scale at 6.2 lbs (personal best smallie since moving to Montana). The big guy upstairs blessed me with an awesome day… only boat on the water too. Hope you enjoy photos. Tight lines to all

Guess it did all come together, JB. Beautiful smallies, great pics. Wish there were 2 boats on the water and I was in the other one.

As Al Pacino said in the movie Scent of a Woman, “I’m just getting warmed up”. Hahaha… seriously, I’m humbled by many of the kind words. I’m new here in Montana, and have only been fishing these lakes for a few months. So I consider myself in school, and trying to figure these lakes out as they are all different. Today was only my 3 rd time on this lake. It was a great day, and I’m sure just dumb luck. All these lakes are just beautiful… and for the most part have little to no pressure. What pressure there is, are guys targeting trout, Kokanee, etc. My long term game is that once winter hits, I can live off all your pictures as I patiently wait for these lakes to unfreeze. 😉
