Just saw Carolina rig on another post. Got me thinking, when was last time I use a C rig. It’s been a while.
I used to throw a C rig a lot. Really don’t know why I stopped.
I’ll pick it back up this comming season. I have a few points in mind where it would be a great fit.

I used to rig a C rig with a tube with a foam ear plug stuck in it. Hooked an enormous musky on one of these. Just got to see it before line popped. Only musky myself or anyone else had seen at that lake in 20 years.

What plastics are everyone using these days

I use a wacky rig a lot with no or little weight and a 5” Senko. My best was with,a chartreussw n white senlo from BassPro. If I am worm fishing, I will use a 6-10” plastic, but cannot remember the brand.

Thanks, it.does help as.I am nearly 77 so what 1 man can do is important!
I am considering selling my two man boat.

Weight vs bulky they do make a wheel kit for it some people put it on a small trailer . So I put pontoons on it and lift it that way I do not add the trolling motor battery etc until I have it at waters edge

Weight of just boat is like 70 lbs the wheel kit is a single wheel most say it does not work and they add two wheels . I do not have a wheel kit .

50 years old so at this point I can reach into back of my truck and lift it up an carry it .

It is awkward though, not sure if that helps much if you google the boat you will find all kinds of guys doing creative things . I have a humming bird on mine added a nice pole holder made a casting deck . I can stand up on it and cast .

I was just think of the weight you have real with at launch, before you add tackle box, you, and other things. Can one guy pick it.up and carry it? (I'm big, but old and.weak ☺)

Welcome to the stage, Vegan. No many pounds do you think that CO. rig of yours weigh?
In my youth, I got to fish Tacoma (and ski) a lot. That was before stripers were introduced there and before a lot of the lakes that are now near Ft. Worth and Dallas.

When we lived in Houston, we had a.weekend escape to cabin in Holiday Lakes that was was 8 miles so. of Livingston. I caught numerous black bass using Texas rigged strawberry worms. It won't cost much to give them try.

Do any of you crappie anglers use bite alerts? If yes, would you credit much of your success to them? Thanks.

i.guess you attach the hook through the black rubber band that surrounds the middle of.the 5" senior and you have tried weightless. If yes, I would guess the resident bass are too small to bite.

Those Canucks are different. A couple years ago i was crossing the border headed to Dogtooth lake. The inspector woman ask me if I had pepper spray. I said yes, I have both personal defense & bear spray. She took my personal defense but I could keep the bear spray. Human spray was illegal & it was unlawful to use bear spray on a human. I let the lady know that unlawful or not if I was attacked by an unruly Canadian i would use the bear spray on him. SOB's. Anyway , it sucks to be swindled by someone we can't face. If I could get my hands on the convict I could get my money's worth of hide in just a few seconds. My fishing buddy is crappie fishing at cypress cove marina on fort gibson lake this morning but only catching undersize fish. He wants me to come over & be miserable with him but I think I'm going below Lake Tenkiller dam & pester the trout. Tight lines

I have only been burned twice on EB. I got some plastic (without holes) golf balls. The second time was from a shipment from Canada, when the authorities opened.the package and took some stuff from it.

Anglers, he careful of a company named Fishing Care Package. Have a look at a company before you order. I did not. On 11/16 they had a special on the Shimano Curado DC.for $149.99. Good price, right? I had seen other merchants have similar specials like this one. But wait, these folks had a BOGO going on, and sure enough, when I added the second reel it was free. I got an order number right away, but when I asked for a tracking number, my request went into a.dark hole. I then checked them out online and saw I had company with other fools. Since they went incommunicado, I called the cc company to report them. Be smarter than I was.
