Thanks. Every thing about Christianity point to the glory and supremacy of God. A quick example can be found in the Ten Commandments. Let’s look at the Third Commandment: “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.” Many, if not most, people assume that means don’t curse. But let’s go a little bit deeper. As Christians we have taken our Heavenly Father’s name. But if we steal(8th), lie(9th), kill(6th), etc., we have dishonored our Father’s name(5th). So if we lie we don’t just break the ninth, we break the third and the first, as we have put ourselves above God.

As I stated in my original post, what seems simple and straightforward has many lessons to be learned. As we mature we see more and more. 1 Corinthians 13:11

Please don’t let my preaching make me seem like I am holier than thou. Far from it. I am probably one of the worst offenders created, and will probably be judged harsher because I know better, so I covet (10th?) all your prayers. Romans 7:15-20. Thank you.

The Bible is like an onion—layers upon layers. We start out on the outside. As we mature we get deeper and deeper. The same passage that we read as a new Christian has a deeper meaning as we mature. And as we continue to mature the same passage reveals deeper and more intricate meaning. The more we read and understand the more is revealed. Sadly a lot of Christians fail to progress beyond the first couple of layers and therefore fail to enjoy the wonders embedded deeper. I don’t think even some of the most revered theologians ever reached the center of the onion. The milk we drink as new Christians is pleasant and exciting but cannot compare to the flavors of the meat we enjoy farther into our journey into the word.

I don’t doubt you, J.

1972/73. South Hill of Puyallup, Wa (30 mi S of Seattle). My neighbor was home on leave from the Navy. He said he was hearing strange sounds in the woods behind his house and offered me 50 bucks to sleep on his patio one night. As a junior or senior in high school that was a lot of easy money. My brothers and I always slept in the fields and woods a lot in the summer. Easy money.

I was going to sleep out Friday night but got back after midnight from a date. So Saturday it would be. When I turned into the driveway the dogs came to meet the car as usual. But tonight they seemed even more glad to see me. I had noticed that the calves were standing under the horses between their legs. All the animals were looking across the field towards the woods. The dogs were jumping on the car door. I had to push the German Shepard off the door to open it. As soon as I cracked the door the Cocker Spaniel crawled into the car with the Shepard right behind it. I thought “Boy, you guys are glad to see me tonight!” I also had thought it unusual to see the cows under the horses and awake that time of night.

I walked to the house with the dogs almost knocking me over they were pushing against me so hard. I turned the knob but the door was locked. Fairly unusual. My mother the next day said she felt like locking the door that night. She wasn’t worried because she knew I had a key.

Well, as I was putting the key in the door something in the woods started vocalizing. Gentlemen and Ladies, I have never in my life heard noises like that and I don’t think I would care to even now. That explained the strange behavior of the animals. As soon as the doorknob clicked the dogs pushed the door open and beat me into the house.

I don’t know if it was a Bigfoot, but it wasn’t anything I have heard before or since. We did live in an area that had periodic evidence of reports of Bigfoot in the area. By the way, I told my neighbor that he could keep his money. We never slept outside again.

Hello to all,
I have an itch to by a Beretta here in middle Tn. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to purchase a new or used Beretta. I am looking at the 92FS.... There are so many options with the Beretta 9mm. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Go to a shop that rents guns and try it on for size. Give it a test drive. I have small hands and short fingers. If I gripped the 92F properly I could not wrap my index finger around the trigger. To get proper trigger finger placement I had to shift the gun in my hand. The ball of my thumb was actually on the side of the grip. Make sure it fits before you spend the money.

Some sportsmen actually say they go fishing or deer camp to fish or hunt. 🤞Can you believe that?🤣

I think these will fit also. Probably will need several more boxes.
