I have a Garmin Striker 4 also. It is both simple and you can get deeper into the features also. You will have a hard time getting a better value for about $100. Might be the only one you need, but definitely a good one to break in on.

Oh yeah. Circle hook also. I haven’t seen those barbless. It does make sense that they would work well.

With smaller turtles you can trying a quick bounce into the water. I find that the loose line and sudden shock combination will cause the turtle to release the hook or it just pops out once the tension is gone.

Rubbing salt into the wound may be a remedy in this case. Lived in Greece for four years. Loved the Mediterranean.

I am getting some relief from Chigger Rid. Just a lot of bites. Combination of camphor and fingernail polish. Now how to avoid the rinse and repeat?
