What about a regional foot note like pasty note thing, referring to regional locations? For a quick look up, still like reading nation wide fishy news! Especially when we have been to area on vacations.

No fishing today, got a neighbor to help out and get ready for the weekend. Going fishing with two of my kayaking neighbors. Still not back to speed after the grandmunchkins used my body for climbing. Followed by yesterday on the water the bones were a little stiff after that paddling.

Take you time sending that 18* east. Not quite ready for that. Looking forward to 70's by afernoon

Just an afterthought. I've only been on here a short time but I have never seen anyone's questions of a specific area or type of fishing go unanswered. There is a lot of help for anyone who needs it.

So it would help some if they put something in the title of the thread pertaining directly to the question?

Most seem to anyway. Some don't.

I have thought about this over the past few days and I think I would prefer to leave it just the way it is.

I think the region idea is a great one. This will narrow the focus of the area where we are located and fishing and allow those that fish those areas to share valuable information. Mainly to narrow the search for others in the areas where one would fish. Thanks and I really enjoy this site.

I'm thinking of setting up 4-5 sticky topics to always show in the digest.

Those topics would be location-specific. So that people can discuss fishing specific to their region all in one place.

What regions or parts of the country should I set up? (USA-only for now. Other countries would use the general Main section as before.)

There are many ways to do it and I'm trying to figure out the best way to present the regions in the most appropriate way from the fishing perspective.

Any ideas are welcome.

I believe regional basis would be better as delineated by weather patterns. This will let all readers know when fishing is hot in their area and more accurately assess tackle and tactic trends that are currently working for them.

I am with the.. ain't broke why fix it crew. At present I am free to click on or join in on any subject I care to, I like that. Plus, I am constantly being informed and challenged, which I find enlightening.
I have a question for you, however... what do you consider "sticky topics" ? Have we not encountered a few of those already, and made it through the gauntlet with no bloodshed ! Lol !
All in all, I think you have a marvelous forum and administer it admirably...Thank you.

I agree totally with FixorFish,....my only take would be that Fellow Fisherman (or not), that who ever ask something/whatever, that they BE MORE Specific !......If Locally Specific, they should give like " Fishing for _____in Lake/Shoreline___in Central TX...." ...I noticed that they just throw-in a Lake So and So, into the wind and hoping the readers (are very knowledgeable) know where that Lake is in Siberia!.....Gentlemen, be MORE Specific of what U R asking !!!.......Tight Lines!
