Hey All! Ed here and I am a Kayak Angler. I moved to Livermore, CA in March of 2017 so I am still learning the waters in the area. For those that have seen my posts, I have been doing pretty good :-) I've been fishing for over 50 years and have been on the National Hobie Kayak Fishing Team. I don't claim to know it all, but I do share what I have learned, especially when it comes to kayak fishing. I love fishing for trout, but I have had great success fishing for trout, crappie, smallmouth and largemouth bass and thanks to SAW1, a fellow angler here who I have taken kayak fishing on one of my kayaks, I have learned to catch striped bass!!!
I have yet to go out in the ocean with my kayak for rock fish, salmon, halibut, ling cod and whatever else they chase out there :-) But I am ready and willing to learn :-)

I'm on the the the stage for over a month now great group of guys !!
Moved to north Central California 6yrs ago love to fish and hunt.
Grew up in Whitter California, Orange county.
Love this N C Valley so many lakes and river here to fish plus the Delta.
I like to fish Don Pedro , Tullock New Melonies .
Have fished fished Mc Clure Mc Swain.
But really don't know either of them.
I'm a BASSAHOLICs
Addicted !!!
Can't get enough and can't buy enough gear!!
Also love to Trout fish.
Use to ocean fish on the over night full day two day trip out of San Diego, for yellow tail and Albacore.
It just got to expensive 😩 !!
Any way love the stage great bunch of people 👍
Always looking to fish with any one who has my passion for the sport!!

Now it's time to get serious about fishing for Bass in the next few months!!

Andy you and I need to get together sometime down at McSwain - that's a real nice place there and well worth the drive for me. Doesn't look like I'd want to get anywhere near it in the summer, but late fall thru early spring it's just about perfect.

Have you tried Modesto Res yet!! Prefect for style 😎 of fishing 🎣 you like to do!! Nobody talks about it but do well there !! Small and Large mouth, trout.
Caught a 5 1/2 pounder there 4 months ago. (Large mouth)

I have yet to try it, Andy! I plan to try it soon with pre-spawn coming and bass going shallow, I want to try before the spawn. If interested, I can bring an extra kayak and you can show me the "ropes" :-)

Hello, my name is Tom.
I live in Chico CA.

I mainly fish Northern CA Lakes and Rivers. I really like ocean fishing, but I do not get to do it very much. I am always hoping to meet some new fishing people and learn more about all types of fishing

I would really like to go out with some other people who need an extra person for gas and or company. Also, I like to trade fishing trip with different people.

My Boat
21 ft Jetcraft. I have Humminbird Helix electronics, Minkota with remote steering, Cannon down riggers and a Yamaha kicker with a new Garmin remote control(If I can get it working properly)

I fish all year round mostly during the week as I am retired from CSU-Chico. Doesn’t mean I will not fish on the weekends, I just don’t have to.

My Fishing Patterns Are:

Jan.-April, Shasta, Oroville and Almanor for Trout and Land Locked Salmon
March -May Stripers Chico (Sac) and Yuba City(Feather).
Bullard Bar Kokanee All Spring and Summer
May - Shad, Sacramento River and Oroville Bass
July - November Salmon, Sac and Feather. Kings and Bass @ Lake Oroville
Eagle Lake In October -November.

Laughingly, anywhere else I can find fish, or people to fish with me.

Can you recommend a good place for trout shore fishing that’s within an hour’s drive of Sutter Creek? I was told New Melones Lake, but it’s huge, and I have no idea what part of the shore to fish from!

You want to fish by where we launch are boats,
Turtle 🐢 launch by the camp grounds.
You can pull it on your phone the map of the lake. They do well there for trout last year some caught there a 4 lb rainbow.
