Appreciate the reminder and the invite but I have a trip scheduled to Clear on May 8th for four days and a two week trip to Canada in late August. My wife still works and I'm retired so she counts on me to be the support staff. Don't think me trying to squeeze another trip in would be met favorably....lol. Good luck to y'all and if you haven't fished it before, be prepared to be amazed. Incredible fishery. I've only been there once before last year but it was memorable.

Just getting back out there myself. Trout lake and stream...I'm in Folsom as well, a fly fisherman and just joined a local FF club. Granit Bay Fly Casters. They are a wealth of information if your preference is fly fishing. They have many outings throughout the year and you'll learn some nice locations quickly if you keep up with even half of the trips these guys organize,...and the wealth of information from the seniors is remarkable. If you've got a float tube,...you have so so many opportunities in central Cali, feel free to reach out at any time. I'm not retired,...but can 'take my lunch whenever I want', so to speak and would entertain a email and then call at anytime. All the best, Bill

I fished Huntington Lake several times years ago when we used camp out there. Our best spot was on the dam using sliding clear bobber slowly sinking with either a power worm or piece of night crawler.
Find the depth they are biting and then maybe use a sliding bobber with a stopper for the right depth and a piece of nightcrawler for bait.
