No problem Jarheadfishnfool. Is Sunfish/bluegill fishing the same as perch, meaning is it rigged the same using the same type of bait or lures?

Lived with my grandparents from 5years old till 11, little tiny town called Lemon Cove, about 4 miles from Kaweah Lake fished with my grandpa quite a bit, my Dad was from Tulare that's where I was born, it's about 35 minutes to the lake from my house, after the service met my wife about 2 years later now been married 37 years!

Yes, technically we don't have perch in Cali. But I know like you that's what we were taught huh? But yes fish regular red worms for the bluegill in the rockpiles and at the dam ,it's big granite rocks all along the dam,,,,

thanks, ammunition for my thesis that I'm working on which is about the identification and naming of fish throughout the English speaking world. Bluegills get a section all to themselves.

eah, I know about em. They are an endangered species in their natural habitat. And I'm not sure if they're really perch. Being from Indiana, when I hear perch, I'm thinking of the yellow perch I used to catch with my grandpa. These guys. Great eating. Little cousin of the walleye. And you can't catch those anywhere in California. Except for that lake up by Oregon.

Hey I know nobody has posted on here since I did last April, but here goes again anyway. This used to get a lot of use.

Are you all aware of the meet and greet Saw1 has been planning for the next to last weekend in April. Well, I guess it's Saw and other folks to be fair, but I'll blame it all on Saw.
A bunch of us "local" central California members are planning on getting together at Clear Lake on the 23 and 24 of April. There will boats. There will be fishing. And beer. Hootin and hollerin! Did I mention beer?

This is an open invitation to anyone on the Stage who might be interested in showing up. Let me know or let Saw1 know. Or don't. Just show up and surprise the hell out us. Saw is going to give us all the particulars sometime before it all happens. I hope. So we don't have to wander around Clear Lake tryin to find one another. That's a damn big lake.

Well hell, I might just join you over in Monterey. I love that place. If I could afford it, I'd move there.

Just kiddin about joining you, I'm going to clear lake. We should for sure do it another time though. Monterey or Santa Cruz? Or McSwain. How would that be?

Hey Jar. Some will fish Monday too. Maybe you could cruise over there Early Monday or late Sunday.

Hey Spirit…. What event? Where? When? Something is planned and beer is involved?

Have you ever seen the “ Beer Saved The World” it’s on Discovery Or History channel . By now could probably see on web or any of the WiFi links on todays TV technology
