That would be nice. No fishing clubs here and my buddy with a boat lives 300 miles away but twice a year he invites me to go to Lake Powell and I also have a standing invite to visit him at his home. As soon as gas goes down to where I can afford to make the trip I’m headed that way.

Get there Wulff before the waters all gone 🇺🇸😶🙏😎👍

Way too hot right now Henry. Neither one of us can handle those 100* days. In April the main canyon was still 300 feet deep. So there’s still time. The biggest problem with Powell is that if it gets much lower there won’t be enough to run the generators and several million folks will be without power. They released a lot of water from upstream earlier to make sure that doesn’t happen buts it’s only a short term fix. It’s a sad situation and prolly could have been avoided with some judicious management but that just doesn’t seem to happen.

I only use the anti reverse. Never leave it where it will spin backwards by itself.

As a kid the Mitchell reels had a clicker I hated that noise. I still backreel when steelhead are near the boat or shore. I use fine hooks and those last bursts the fish make can bend the hooks.

I don't think management could have done anything look at Lake Mead and all the California waters that are drying up terrible situations with no fixes in sight 😯👎

I never back reel. I don't tighten my drag down tight. I don't recall seeing any pros back reeling. Do see them hand feeding line . Whatever work for y'all 👍

No real fix without snow in massive amounts in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. The mismanagement occurred with overuse and waste of the resource for the last 50 years. My opinion…..

My Penn doesn't have it, haven't missed it. Noticed all my older spinners have it. Sounds fun though, holding the fight right in your hand.

My fishing buddy forward and back reels constantly when drift fishing in the boat over uneven terrain. At the same time, he always locks the reel when stowed rigged in the rod holder. Penn is now selling a reel that stays in anti reverse with no switch. Even the best eventually go cheap to to make an extra dollar. No more Penn's for me.

I like my pursuit 6000 though I haven't caught a big fish on it yet. Sturdy good casting. Have the big old shakespeare, favorite for years and a lot of good fish. My brother landed and released a 7' sturgeon on his. Shredded everything. Rod eyes, seat, reel. We opened the reel to find plastic gears worn to nubs. Funny his trophy is that trashed rig.

Most of my reels don't even have a switch. Doesn't matter to me. I've never back reeled on a fish in my life. Always have my drag set light and tighten if needed.
