We as individuals, must keep ourselves in check and research. Look in the mirror. You might like what’s in the driveway. But do we like what we see in the mirror

I got the Same Email Grizzly, probably just like a lot of other folks. I’m glad it didn’t go through, for different reason’s some but still glad. I have one 5 minutes from home, and they have most the stuff I want usually. I could Care less about Dicks or WalMart. They both no longer carry Guns or Ammo, but still want to sell you everything else to go Hunting. Now that to me is Just Plain Greed😠

A couple Dicks store carry no hunting or fishing gear. I only go there now when I'm looking for something I can't find elsewhere. Now the price has to be right for me to buy. I honestly don't need anything. Just like to try something new now n then. 👍

Moose that's what I believe. If you're not happy with who you are money won't fix that. People have often told me I was my own worst enemy. I judge myself harder than others. Don't try being perfect just the best I can be. Dealt with enough confrontation n anger in my life for a couple people. Retirement definitely got me on the right track to sanity. Easier to avoid irritating people 👍👍

Edward I wish we still had some homegrown shops. A place where they knew you n you could hang out n talk in a slow day. Now I go to this places n know more than most employees. Believe me I still have a lot to learn. 👍

Glad to hear you’re feeling better Grizz. I’m still a couple years from retirement, so for now I observe and smile to myself as I watch others and know or hope as they age they too will realize, life is short. Just be happy knowing you did your best. And hopefully be like you and enjoy the wisdom of the years. While hopefully relaxing in the bliss of retirement. Hopefully all is well with you my friend

If the American auto makers would have tried to improve the mileage on their cars, things may have worked out different. They did little to improve on engine design or interior design. I think they shot themselves in the foot. On top of that the lowered the warranty from 5 years 50,000 miles to 12,000 miles 12 months.

Bob I had several cars that got better mileage than today. Had a 1960 falcon a 72 Chevelle a 70 Subaru hatchback n a 1990 Mazda pu. The Chevelle n falcon got 22/24 mpg the Mazda pu 25/27 n the Subaru got 35/37. Now with all the technology they can't get at least 40 they don't care

Thanks Moose .I just couldn't deal with the that's good enough or wasn't vmy job or some other lame excuse. Pride in your work is a desirable phrase anymore. It took awhile to decompress. It takes age to really appreciate life. I don't have to deal with stress every day. Enjoy your retirement my friend it's worth the wait. FS helps my mental health also. Alot of good people here. Watch this more than tv. 😂😂

Well it’s cheaper than cable that’s for sure 😂😂 and being close to nature seems to calm me down. No stupidity , things are the way they are supposed to be. And reading the FS letters give me the hope that real people are still out there and are all over this big blue marble we all have to share. So a toast to you my brother for finding some sanity in your piece of the world

Older used rigs now are nuts. I’m dealing on a 1985 suburban right now. I have a 1997 Chevy, one ton, 4 wheel drive dually with 110,000 miles on it. I paid $11,000.00 for it 10 years ago with 68,000 miles on it. It’s still worth what I paid for it and I’m giving the guy that and $8,000.00 for the suburban. The suburban is completely restored from the ground up and I think I’m getting a good deal. The Ford F-250 I want is $18,000.00. Sounds crazy but a new F-250, all plastic and electronic is $86,000.00. I paid $70,000.00 for our place in Idaho. I’m not gonna buy a pickup that costs more than 24 acres of land that the government can shut down with the flip of a switch. My 1995 Chevy 3/4 ton diesel has 200,000 miles on it and a guy offered me $7500.00 for it so I think it’s going bye bye. Good old truck but I know the old F-250 is way better.

Catfish did you get your suburban yet brother 👍

Big oil, Car/Truck Corporation has gone hand in hand since after the 60's why would they change now ? I've always been curious how stars stay bright, whatever makes them bright is some sort of fuel source, here on Mother Earth we as humans continue to take and take and expect the same outcome, does anybody wonder why prices of fuel , oil, natural gas, steel and other resources continue to rise? Maybe because it's becoming harder to get to ? I'm not or ever will be qualified to even prove nor disprove anything that's being talked about here right now, but I am a retired IBEW union Electrician ,that's what I've known since 27-28 years old, im 67 now and thats I can vouch for, I'll probably be bashed for my personal speech and thats ok ,but Mother Earth will not continue to support humans that doesn't support her,

No bashing from me brother. I’m a member of the international operating engineers. Have been for 30 years. Everything has its limits. Even our Mother Earth. Just glad I won’t be around to see her when she quits

Moose the ways things are going I wonder sometimes. Many talk about climate change n save the planet. Still every day the year into her n continue the uncontrolled growth. I've seen area that have been stripped to the bone. Rip out a million trees then plant a thousand or so. So much containinated runoff into watersheds. The more online shopping the more warehouses the more truck traffic. 😥

I believe the earth runs in cycles. And it’s going thru one as we speak. But I also believe we’re not helping it at all. Speeding it up ??? Speeding up our own demise?? Feel sorry for the younger generation and even sorrier for my grandkids. For they will never know the feeling of catching a steelhead or the serenity of taking a nap next to a pond on a warm summer day. This generation has forgotten the simple pleasures of life. I guess we can only hope and pray for them
