Jeremy that's about how it is now. Way too dependent on foreign companies. Yes I own foreign made products. Even Fords b Chevy are dependent on foreign parts. I had a 72 chevelle that had parts stamped made in Canada. Ford had plants in Mexico. I saw a thing the other day that said Toyota has I think it was 8 assembly plants in US along with Nissan Subaru n BMW. Hopefully it's US citizens working in them. 👍👍

I had to be careful buying parts for my Harley. Lots of those are made in Japan or China now too. That kinda ruined the American Chopper concept for many of us.

I just got the same email. If I could respond to it I’d tell him if he’d get his prices down to compete with the competition I’d drop on by. There’s a SW right across the road from North 40 Outfitters in Lewiston Idaho. The only thing cheaper, for the same merchandise, at SW is AKs and not by much plus North 40 has a much bigger selection of the same products.

I'd like to see a few more places around. 20 mins to SW over a hour to bass pro depending on traffic. Most of my gear came from BP now not so much. It hasn't been the same since they bought Cabela's. At least at store in this area. They all are too expensive. As long as we pay they play. I got most of my stuff on sale. I don't need anything actually. Curiousity gets me at times if the price is right. 👍👍

I saw at one time 64 models of GM autos were made overseas. I remember Harley riders giving me crap because of my rice grinding Goldwing. Now it is hard to find one Harley accessory or even shirts and jackets that are US made. I know the bikes are assembled here. But that is about it.

Bob I had a Suzuki n a Honda. Then I could afford a Harley. I about blowed my Harley up right after I got it. Got in a race n it fell on its face. Took me awhile to figure out it had a rev limiter in it. 6k n I was use to 9,500. It went to shop little tweaking n rev limiter removal.

China or Amazon (Bezos) may have made a better offer, or Morris just wanted out of the deal.

Have you ever been to Branson or Springfield, MO? Johnny Morris has the Midas touch!

Just read where JM is worth 7.1 billion. He's done well

So a lot of it is arrogance and nothing to do with patriotism etc. Seems pretty typical.

A good buddy has what I call a Honda Davidson. There are Yama Davidsons. Susucky Davidsons. I was already growled at by some Harley guys but it is really just to get anyone and everyone to crack a smile anyway.

Jeremy I never cared what anyone said about what I was riding. I was having fun. Talking about foreign made call me crazy but I think having another country socialist or communist making America flags should be illegal. 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷

I'm wondering is Harley is going to install a sound track for their electric bike or if they'll let them go down the interstate sounding like a Honda Prius 🤔🤔

I concur. I'm sure Betsy Ross would say the same.

Me too. Just as long as the same people will pay the difference. It’s the same as way back when people would buy an imported car because they said it is less money and it will last longer. Many of the people way back caved in and bought imported vehicles.

I purchased a lot of state and us flags for job. They were ALL made in USA. But will people say you shouldn’t spend the money blah blah blah because it was where I worked? Many complain constantly about costs. But I knew wanted the better stuff and also would last much longer.

I bought my first foreign truck in 1990. After 5 yrs of having nothing but a bike I decided to buy a truck. A Mazda extended cab 4x4 was only one I could afford. I looked at used Ford's n Chevy. Got a brand new Mazda cheaper than the used ones. Ford n Chevy got 15/16 mpg Mazda got 25/27. Had it 10 yrs n gave it to my daughter. Bought a 1995 f150 had 17,333 miles on it when I got it in 97.gave it to my daughter Jan o13 had almost 200,000 on it a couple yrs later it was still going. I now have a 012 Titan almost 218,000 on it. Can't afford another new truck 👍

There’s that too. I rode for lots of years and never had an accident. Well not on a road bike. I also raced motocross and had a crack up or two there (I’m gonna blame that on Japanese engineering)🤪but never on my Harleys. When I moved to Oregon from Wyoming I could see the, complete incompetence in drivers there and got rid of it while I was still alive. Now, knowing what I’ve learned about Harley Davidson products and living in the mountains of paradise, I’m fairly certain my last road bike was my last. I drive Chevy trucks now but they’re too new. One is a 1995 and the other is a 1997. I’m in the market for a 1972 Ford F-250 and I’m already dealing on a 1985, restored, 3/4, 4 wheel drive Chevy suburban. Those will be my last vehicle purchases. I have a 4 wheeler, a side by side and two snow machines and I’m afraid I’m not going to admit what they are. I’m not going to look too hard at my John Deere tractor or my Bobcat skid steer for fear I might find a tag, on it, I won’t like. It’s getting tougher to be an American in more ways than one. 😂
