The beach was no better . Friday pm the wind went to 15 to 20 SE and the flounder fishing from the beach was tough. Did manage one at about 7 inches..

Back from Colebrook River Lake on the Massachusetts border. Lake level lower than I expected, about 10'-12' below full pool. Wind was blowing right down the chute most of the day, once again making boat positioning tough. Hooked 11 little Smallmouth, 8 in the boat and 3 professional release,LOL all a pound or less. Somewhat disappointing, but for a first time,a learning experience.
I did accomplish one goal. I caught Bass ON Route 8! That's a state highway that runs from Bridgeport Ct, north thru Massachusetts. Well technically it was "Old Rt.8", which was relocated when the lake was built, but on Rt 8 none the less.
Back from Colebrook River Lake on the Massachusett... (show quote)

Wow Fred looks like a Beautiful lake! Glad your getting out fishing more often! And you caught some fish! Keep up the great work!! Good luck and be safe!!

mighty pretty water Fred
in spite of the wind
I know you had great fun
boy
wish we had a ramp like that at Sheldon
the ramp there(and it is the only one)
goes almost straight up and then straight down
you lose sight of your boat and trailer when it starts down
I'll try to get a pic of it the next time Larry decides to take me along
