Hi Jer. That's so true. I know when I'm out people don't have a problem reaching or stepping in front of others. No excuse me more like get out if my way. I belive in looking people in the eye n saying hi with a smile. Hi y'all 😄😄

You’re absolutely right, many people don’t know what it means when you say skin in the game and many others get pissed when you make that comment because they don’t know any “American History” and will never understand what it took to build this country.

Morning kandy and all y’all.
Being nice IS important. Lol. But oh so true.
49 heading to 68 and sunny ☀️ with a few clouds this afternoon and a light breeze. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.
Speaking of kindness, we haven’t meet a mean or grumpy person since moving here. Everyone is so friendly. We love it here. And it’s so beautiful everywhere you drive. We went up to Murfreesboro Tn yesterday and bought a car. The drive was spectacular. We made a big circle cause I wanted to look at a boat on the way home ( I didn’t buy it, too heavy). Drove by the Tim’s Ford exit so I waved at you Ivey on the way by.
The gentleman we bought the car from had noticed that the windshield washer fluid had drained out overnight so he spent an hour fixing it while we waited. He had to pull the tire and wheel well splash panel and replaced all the water lines from the tank to the windshield. He could have not said anything and just let us find out the hard way but he was a very nice and honest person.
While we were waiting
Lynny noticed a vintage patio set by his garage that she fell in love with so we offered to buy it and made a deal with him.
So it was a very good day.
Stay safe y’all and tight lines.
Morning kandy and all y’all. br Being nice IS imp... (show quote)

Fish you and Lynny be careful with them old chairs they will lay down on ya 😁

We checked online after we got them and the chairs alone sell for $75 each. We got the 2 chairs and the table for $100. Lynny felt like we took advantage of the guy but I said he could have turned down the offer so I feel we didn’t. What say you?

I say you're 100% correct, make an offer if someone takes it,,, fair deal. They just don't make stuff like that anymore. Those chairs set under a tree in Hot Rock where we'd sit in the afternoon look at the farm, probably 30 years and now they're down by the lake where we sit sometimes and watch. Only take them in in the winter and they're still in pretty good shape. Now they're made of plastic or something that'll break after a year in the sun.

Plum, most of the folks I know down here would rather mind their own business than put their nose in others. Most folks are friendly, caring and honest. 40 years ago things were different but we've grown a lot since then and recognized all people really are created equal. Just like any where else we've got some bad apples but all in all mainly good folks

Oh i am with you there Ivey just couldn't pass up a chance to pull FD's chain a little.

I found it took many years when i moved to NC for the locals to let you into their lives. But once we became known as ones to help and not ones to take we were greatly appreciated.

When i left MD 16 years ago it was see ya have a nice life. When we finally got a contract on our NC house last fall, the neighbor a mile away threw us a going away party with their family and folks that i only knew once in awhile.

My southern BFF fishing bud who passed away way to soon, taught me more about southern living then i could have ever read about.

You are so right DD. I came home awhile back after a week away to a rainbow painted from the floor to about 4 feet up the bathroom wall.

Wife said it started out small and she just got carried away. All i could say is: Is their something you want to tell me?

At first she didn't get where i was coming from. After an explanation and a few days went by, many coats of Navy blue paint covered up the rainbow.
