It does seem to do that Jer. Unfortunately i see too much of it in older people. I still do it n hold hold doors. Many walk thru like I'm not there. I still do it. There is enough ugly in the world already n I'm not going to add to it. I think FS is a haven for those of us that believe in kindness. I've talked to many here that I'm sure I'd be proud to call my friend n brother or sister 👍👍

I feel the same and you are one of them griz.

Morning kandy and all y’all.
Being nice IS important. Lol. But oh so true.
49 heading to 68 and sunny ☀️ with a few clouds this afternoon and a light breeze. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.
Speaking of kindness, we haven’t meet a mean or grumpy person since moving here. Everyone is so friendly. We love it here. And it’s so beautiful everywhere you drive. We went up to Murfreesboro Tn yesterday and bought a car. The drive was spectacular. We made a big circle cause I wanted to look at a boat on the way home ( I didn’t buy it, too heavy). Drove by the Tim’s Ford exit so I waved at you Ivey on the way by.
The gentleman we bought the car from had noticed that the windshield washer fluid had drained out overnight so he spent an hour fixing it while we waited. He had to pull the tire and wheel well splash panel and replaced all the water lines from the tank to the windshield. He could have not said anything and just let us find out the hard way but he was a very nice and honest person.
While we were waiting
Lynny noticed a vintage patio set by his garage that she fell in love with so we offered to buy it and made a deal with him.
So it was a very good day.
Stay safe y’all and tight lines.
Morning kandy and all y’all. br Being nice IS imp... (show quote)

FD, I would have waved back but I spent most of the day with a chainsaw or splitting maul in my hand, Glad y'all got the car now you have a good idea where I am y'all have to come visit. We have two of the old chairs just like those. Not sure how old they are but Suzanne pulled them out of an old barn over 40 years ago.

Things must are getting better when meeting people here lately. Before i left Maryland we would walk around the Columbia lake for exercise and 90% of the people we pass would not ackowledge a hello.

Like we were not speaking their language or something.

Now that we are back we noticed that the tide has changed and more and more folks are being friendly.

Yes there is Hope.

I'd like to believe that Plum. I remember 9/11 when it appeared we all came together. Unfortunately it didn't last. So sad it didn't. I believe like many here people just can't be satisfied with what they have. We all what more from time to time but some wait others want it yesterday. Patience they say is a virtue but not in abundance any more. We all just talked about that. Enjoy what we have thankful it's not less n appreciate what more we get. Maybe I'm a dreamer but it's better than living in a nigtmare. Keep SMILING fellow stagers 😄😄😄

Good morning all. Everybody was up and at them long before I was this am. Started around 48 this day with a pretty good amount of daylight. Gonna quickly warm up to 64. Needed a tug yesterday so I took a quick ride over to the park pond and caught half a dozen of these guys. They're not big and I always release them but it's a good tug.😀 he had a nice shoulder on him.

We checked online after we got them and the chairs alone sell for $75 each. We got the 2 chairs and the table for $100. Lynny felt like we took advantage of the guy but I said he could have turned down the offer so I feel we didn’t. What say you?

Thanks. That’s what I thought too. Lynny wants to paint each piece a different color and have a rainbow 🌈 patio. Lol.
