Good morning, Kandy.
I fully concur with this statement. Does it seem like fewer people are nice today? Too many seem to believe they are owed something, even though they have little or no “skin in the game”.

Morning kandy and all y’all.
Being nice IS important. Lol. But oh so true.
49 heading to 68 and sunny ☀️ with a few clouds this afternoon and a light breeze. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.
Speaking of kindness, we haven’t meet a mean or grumpy person since moving here. Everyone is so friendly. We love it here. And it’s so beautiful everywhere you drive. We went up to Murfreesboro Tn yesterday and bought a car. The drive was spectacular. We made a big circle cause I wanted to look at a boat on the way home ( I didn’t buy it, too heavy). Drove by the Tim’s Ford exit so I waved at you Ivey on the way by.
The gentleman we bought the car from had noticed that the windshield washer fluid had drained out overnight so he spent an hour fixing it while we waited. He had to pull the tire and wheel well splash panel and replaced all the water lines from the tank to the windshield. He could have not said anything and just let us find out the hard way but he was a very nice and honest person.
While we were waiting
Lynny noticed a vintage patio set by his garage that she fell in love with so we offered to buy it and made a deal with him.
So it was a very good day.
Stay safe y’all and tight lines.

Mornin’ Grizz. Around here it seems to be the younger folks, probably 30 or younger. Of course, there are people of all ages looking for special treatment or just being selfish. I agree with you about looking folks in the eye and smiling. Sure puts them off their game when they are “confronted “ with a smile.

I always assume the best of everyone until they prove me otherwise.

Things must are getting better when meeting people here lately. Before i left Maryland we would walk around the Columbia lake for exercise and 90% of the people we pass would not ackowledge a hello.

Like we were not speaking their language or something.

Now that we are back we noticed that the tide has changed and more and more folks are being friendly.

Yes there is Hope.

It does seem to do that Jer. Unfortunately i see too much of it in older people. I still do it n hold hold doors. Many walk thru like I'm not there. I still do it. There is enough ugly in the world already n I'm not going to add to it. I think FS is a haven for those of us that believe in kindness. I've talked to many here that I'm sure I'd be proud to call my friend n brother or sister 👍👍

So true. Maybe people who love the outdoors through fishing/hunting etc. (FS Members and others) just have a greater appreciation of our lives and our natural resources and respect others.
