If in TX, you can download the TPWD app, and your licenses are available there.

I am from California also. So I just fold it up and put it the hole where all the cash used to be before I paid the $69 for it.

I used to keep mine in my wallet but now they're more like receipts instead of cards. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I'm from California so we have to carry it on our person whenever we're fishing.

Mine is in my wallet. I am just glad California dropped that stupid display your license rule from about 20 years ago. The weekend that law went into effect, one of my customers had his license in one of those hat holders. Sure enough hat blows off and there goes the license. He wanted to know if he could still fish. I told him he had a boat load of witnesses to the fact he had it at the start of the day, and I would testify to that as well. A good friend hated that law so much he had a copy of his license printed on a t-shirt, with the script, IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH F&G?.

I think Cal F&G sold a lot of duplicate licenses due to that law.

When I was living in Calif the law was that you had to have your license on you at all times so that the FG could see it and so I picked up one of those plastic pin on name tag holders at Staples and just pinned it on my shirt so that it was showing at all times.

In my tackle box but I put a copy on my dashboard with my cell phone number in case a cop gets suspicious of why my truck is parked in the middle of nowhere....or somewhere.

Running my charter boat I got tired of pinning my license to shirts everyday. I do not like things hanging around my neck, so I took that plastic name tag holder and put a rubber band on it and looped it through a belt loop on my jeans. First warden that saw me said "that's unique" and gave me a thumbs up.

My business name was Jim Cox Sport Fishing Charters. My boat was called "Touch of Gray". I mostly worked out of Loch Lomond marina in San Rafael.

I thought that might know the boat but you where fishing the SF Bay and San Pablo Bay system just a bit to far out of the north delta and Suisun Bay.
