I hope you will reread my post and I hope you understand what a "devil's advocate" is. Rather than just allow the conversation to spiral down into a group grope with Mike I thought maybe it could use a little splash of hot sauce. That's just how I am. And I'm glad to meet anyone who has never broken the rules or stretched the truth a wee bit. So, life is a round of golf, and we're all responsible for our own card, no cheating allowed. Excellent.

What flavor hot sauce? Cholula, Tabasco , tapatio...my personal favorite is Pico Pica, lol

Those are all good. I'm addicted to Tabasco, it's my favorite. I put that sh*t on everything. Sorry Frank's. And thanks for the tip - never tried Pico Pica, but now I'm gonna look for it.

PicoPica is mexican style less vinegar than most others. I knew a guy heck of a woodsman, firefighter etc, liked his Tabasco so much he carried a bottle on his belt in a little holster at all times. Was quite the character LOL

I've seen those and have thought about getting one to take fishing with me. In the Navy I always had a little bottle in my pocket. You just never knew.

I like hot sauce but you guys are extreme. I do make my own chili colorado and chili verde from New Mexico chilis.

There was a restaurant right near here, a hot wing place, they had something on their menu called the "Insanity Wing" They had to take it off the menu because the heat was that bad.

I remember those tiny bottles of Tabasco they put in MRE’s. Haven’t seen any lately though.

Mmm NM chilies are so good not too hot just enough to make your forehead bead up a little and your nose run a bit, but the flavor is sooo good.

Thank you all for your encouraging feedback. My former "friend" lives just down the road from me and I see him occasionally. As I mentioned, he no longer speaks or even looks at me. A mutual neighbor friend of ours told me he thinks I'm the bad guy for not going along with his decision to break the law. He also often says "I don't want to learn anything new" and he avoids minority-owned businesses. Just to give you an idea of the way he thinks.
I've since made better fishing friends especially here on the forum like SAW, Spirit, Bonsonbob, Tlittle and others. I have even fished with Tlittle who lives close by in Chico. We went bass fishing at Oroville and caught a bunch of dinks but it was fun. Plus we released everything.
Thanks again and tight lines!

MHO, I haven't kept a trout is sixty years nor have I fished with anyone who has kept a trout in sixth years. I would have made that clear before we started fishing. I have done some guiding, and that is the first thing i tell them. It is not a problem.

That is a very admirable record! Sixty years of catch and release on trout! What about other species?
Many of us here on the forum like to feast on fish at least occasionally. I'm not one who keeps more than I can eat within a day or two. I have released about 95% of my trout catch because I believe in catch-and-release. I have been on many saltwater charters and party boats and due to the cost have kept most of my catch for meals. Also I know you're aware that there is a large business in providing fish for people who want to eat them - hatcheries. If I want to keep a fish for dinner, I usually keep a hatchery fish and release the natives or the ones that have turned native. Again, thanks for your support in this matter and stay safe and healthy.

I never keep anything I catch because I ain't hungry, but if I was I'd keep what I can eat.
