Hi. My name is Mike and I am a retired geologist hence the online handle (Geomike). My father started me fishing when I was about three years old and I've been hooked ever since. I have fished in many different locals in the states and abroad with my experience ranging from big game saltwater gear to ultra light tackle in small mountain streams, but I like catching fish on my own flies the best. I also putter around with woodworking, other types of handy crafts, collect antique fishing gear, and chores around the "ranch" keep me busy. I live in Forest Ranch near Lake Almanor and the Feather River.
