If you Google "Sputterbug" you'll see pictures of original Sputterbug lures. You'll see that some have skirts while others don't. Apparently the lures were made in both configurations. Maybe the skirt was added on in later years of production.

Upon further review, the ruling on the field is overturned! The ones with the smaller, raw aluminum, blades are SPUTTERBUGS. The ones with the larger Buzzbait style blades are SPUTTERBUZZS. Should have just read the names on the back.DUH!

I have the one exactly like the one mike posted. It was good in ponds with lots of weeds & lily pads.

Personal foul. 15 mins. In dry dock. Now Fred, note the face of the bug has a horseshoe pertrusion and inside it is a circular intention. Now, what this means, who knows.

Take that ugly buzzer off and use it as a popper. It would look a lot a hula popper.

Maybe to help get it up on plane, from a resting position. They sit tail down, and the blade attachment also sits under water. Maybe the face catches water and keeps it right side up? :-)
