I shared with my wife and she said that's because men are a bunch of pussies.
Then she told me how there's two distinct strains of the common cold - the one that women and children get which isn't very serious and just makes them miserable. And then there's the masculine strain that is a near-death experience for men. I didn't have a good argument.
You are what you eat.

My wife agrees with your wife.

As a guy who played a lot of basketball and catcher on the high school team, I can honestly say I never once said after taking a shot on the jewels, "Thank you sir, may I have another." Some women love telling people how horrible childbirth pain was. Then they do it again. Did I miss the logic there?

Did you quit playing baseball because you took one to the nuts?

Good point. But I didn't go out of my way to tell everyone that ever played catcher how horrible it was and how a woman couldn't handle a foul ball on the nuts. Just sayin. If the pain was that severe, they really wouldn't do it again. Believe me, women are capable of saying NO!

Let me explain just a little. Some of the men I've seen during my life say to their wives, " I sure would like something to drink, or I sure would like something to eat". Or they have their wives so use to it that the wife says" You want me to make you a sandwich "or something like that. Then if the wife gets sidetracked or something and forgets the husband is still sittin there later and will say, I thought you were goin to make me a sandwich, or I thought you were goin to get me something to drink. I've been makin my own sandwiches since I was 12. And if I'm thirsty, I know how and where to get my own drink without somebody havin to get it for me. And if the guys get a little sick , then they act like they"re totally helpless. But if their wives are sick, the husbands don't take care of the wife. They still say , " I sure would like a sandwich. Or, what's for dinner tonight " I've been married 45 years and if I want a sandwich, I know where the meat and bread is . I don't need to say " honey, could you make me a sandwich". Thankfully, I don't hank out with guys like that. I like to think we're a little more independent and self sufficient. Anyway, that is what I was thinking when I wrote that other post.

I completely agree. My arms and legs work. I can more than take care of myself. Not sure I've had any other options since age 16. My wife and I do for each other because we want to. Not because we are helpless.

Amen Brother. Be a helper with your partner, out of love, not dependent. There's a difference.

That's what I'm talkin about. If you are goin that way, ask if they want anything , instead of sayin something like ' I sure would like a beer."
