It’s a sad day when a fisherman (or fisherwoman) needs pics to prove the voracity of a story to fellow fishers!! Why- one would think some others don’t believe all fish tales!
Anyway, HBM, great story, but next time put one of us(doubters) in the story to back you up!
Welcome, Larry! There’s a ton of good info and laughs here if you can distinguish between the two.
Unfortunately someone will be warning us about all the violence involved (shooting rascally rabbits, blowing up or dropping anvils on hungry coyotes, or blowing off duck bills). We all grew up watching all these things without having warped minds
(Well, most of us), or thinking it was ok to shoot up schools, malls, etc. I guess we all take out our aggression on the fish in the world. Thank you Lord, for loving us in spite of ourselves.
Happy thanksgiving, all, and remember to tell your copilot you love her/him.
My guess- the weight stone tied onto the rope used to determine the water depth.
Welcome, blue chip. Have you checked with the Oregon natural resources folks? They keep info on accessibility to area lakes or rivers. Best of luck to you!

My youngest son just recently bought a 24 ft pontoon at his wife’s’ suggestion. They have a 10 & a 12 yr old. The whole family enjoys cruising salt and fresh water, near St Marks, FL, fishing when they want to. It’s their first boat, but he says it won’t be their last. They include the family dog.
If mama suggests it, whatcha doing thinking about it??

Lol... thanks for the update, Mr President!
I sure hope you didn’t watch all of those games, but was able to wet a hook at some time this weekend?
Again, not familiar with the Penta drive, but makes sense that if it’s removal like the shaft on an outboard, the linkage must separate at some point, and be re-attached when new out drive installed. Hopefully easy fix!
Not personally familiar with a Volva Penta, but no forward/ reverse generally means a linkage problem. Good luck!
Good morning, Chitlin! Welcome to fs. Lots of good and funny info here, and some sad but real life. Let us know in your info where in Mississippi you live and fish. Several of the members are in/around the state. Fresh or salt water? Got any new jokes?
Welcome!
CAUTION!!
Bruising and bleeding around the head and torso are possible for those laughing.
