Thanks for all the responses,
You all make good points. The Beretta 9mm is a gun that I have wanted for a long time. I found on for 679.00 new so I bought it. My wife was pissed but she will get over it. “I hope”
Thanks again,
Joe

Hello to all,
I have an itch to by a Beretta here in middle Tn. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to purchase a new or used Beretta. I am looking at the 92FS.... There are so many options with the Beretta 9mm. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you all for responding.
We had four baby deer this spring, but we are down to only two survivors. We enjoy watching them daily.
I appreciate all the input. It made me feel a lot better about the situation.

I found a dead baby deer in a small creek behind my home. It has been there for a few days and the turkey buzzards have been eating it. I was going to bury it but I have decided to let it decompose naturally. Is this the right thing to do?
Thanks for your input.

Hi,
I fish Dale Hollow Reservoir and have seen the bait balls in some areas. But September has been the worst month this summer for me. Out of my last six times out I have only caught 3 large mouths. I fish with crankbaits, jigs, spoons, top water...... I am still waiting on the fall bite to happen. Maybe once the water cools a little more?
Good luck!

Dang, I couldn't afford to fish like that. Catch 2 fish and lose 2 lures.

I was just starting to feel good about it🐟

Don't worry about the fish they will get rid of the lure one way or the other.

I went out and tried the small wire leader. I hooked what felt like a descent bass but about half way back to the boat it got off. I don’t think I set the hooks that well. I caught two others without the wire leader. It seems that with the crankbaits that go 25-30 feet the wire leader feels ok. I will keep trying it especially since as the temps rise the fish seem to go deeper here. I finally lost the leader and the crankbait after about 4 hours of using it. I will check it more closely next time. But I only lost 2 crankbaits and caught 2 fish not a bad day for me at all.
Thanks again,
Joe

Thank you all for the advice,
Tomorrow morning I will be trying out the steel leader. I found some light weight ones in one of my tackle boxes.
I will start out with one of my Berkeley dredger 25.5 to see how it reacts. If it goes well the Rapala Dt 10 will be next but I’m not real optimistic with it but who knows. I also will be looking into the lure retriever. I found a 18 footer for about 30.00 with shipping on EBay. Last but not least I will upgrade to a stronger leader.
Thanks again for the great information.

Hi to all,
I have fished this spring with mostly crankbaits and had one of my best springs so far. Today while using a Rapala Dt 10 I caught a gar by accident. While at the side of my boat the line broke off and I lost the crankbait. My concern is that the crankbait was in his mouth I know that this has happened with other fish that I have hooked as well. Is there anything that I can do to prevent this. I check my line after every 5-10 cast and will retie if the line shows any rough spots. I fish in on the bottom as much as I can but I am also losing 3-4 crankbaits a day. I am only catching two-three fish a day it is getting very expensive. Is this just what happens with crankbaits? Any help or ideas are appreciated. I went from 10 pound mono to 12 pound mono and that has helped some.
Thanks again,
Joe

Joe - Not sure if you're thinking/implying that I kept those bass? I don't keep bass I always catch and release. I was fishing a small club tournament and we had a lake permit with permission to keep them in the live well for weigh in and then release. I always ensure the fish remain in good health and do not impede them with penetrating cull tags nor impact their slime coating.

I saw the bag in your photo and figured as much.
Thanks for being a responsible angler.

If the spawn is late would that make them pre-spawn? Shouldn’t they be put back so they can spawn so that we will continue to have fish to catch???
