Middle OBX here around Atlantic Beach, been here 6 years and it seems to be constantly fading every year. I surf fish most from Ft. Macon to Indian Beach, usually do good the fish change with there going south and coming back. Fishing has been nothing for the surf to report for 2019. I think that why you don't even see your usual Atlantic Beach bait shop updates.
Swiss army, my son gave me the yellow version about 35 years ago when I used to backpack. It glows in the dark in the case of dropping at night in use. At the time of that I already had a Swiss army red and the Swiss army pocket watch which now is my grandson's. SWISS ARMY IS THE ONE ! We're talking 35 years in the pocket.
Saltwater where I'm at has a major appetite for buckles and nails !
With Paul's history, I'll partner with him and we'll really load the boat !
To me, that's actually harder to do than the correct way ! 😂
I live on the coast of North Carolina and I could see where a cover-up could be made for reasoning mentioned. IF , this became public I would imagine more would be done to stop this problem. If it is already known RedTide will pass given enough time they should know how to do prevention. Especially if they are receiving funding for what's going on. THERE ARE SOME THAT WOULD LOVE TO MAKE IT PUBLIC , just find 'em.
Yeah, that's just about how slow they're biting sometime !
Fun but have lights, sharks are big time nighttime visitors. Best not to wade to help catches and watch for turtles. Best rod is a white rod, easiest to see.

I live here, it's sadly stupid, I really think that they think the fish are vacationers that tell their friends in the water to hang around or come back to this beach. The fish tell their buddies in the water if you're caught don't worry about it, they have to put you back in.

Major problem this year in North Carolina, total restriction on flounder, no matter the size, no keepers, they are notorious for swallowing hooks. The law this year is 'you cannot keep it even if it breaks the world record ' . They probably many dying after being caught , passing on and no real accomplishments in what they are doing but I'm not them.
Alright , Ain't much evidence of noodlin' ! 😉
There are natural trout streams in North Carolina that do have barbless hook trout fishing laws !
