I haven't ever fished "on line" or in any electronic manner, not sure I would like that at all. However, I keep hearing a lot about it, any suggestions?
Maybe the timing was off. And I guess some fish are hard to catch. I know southern fish can be extra tough. They would rather eat nothing at all than eat the wrong thing
Other than the allusive giant goldfish, catfish; flatheads, I think.

Texas is pretty neighborly. The South in general is pretty friendly. Not sure about lack of contact. try Itsabouttime instead.
I have heard that sometimes fish don't know which set up to hit. Especially fish that aren't acquainted with these types of set up. Maybe give a signal or indicator letting you know it is abouttime.
