So I’m planning on going night fishing July 3rd out of St.Lucie Inlet. Going for mangrove snapper on the full moon. My boat has 3 very bright LED’s on it. Wondering if I should have them on and if so how long should they last before draining the battery charge, or should I leave the motor running???
They are everywhere below Jupiter. Stocked in the 1980’s. Great fighting fish.
Still nothing like watching a bobber go under….
Love worms but also do very well with small beetlespin on grub jigs.
A few when clean water is located. Otherwise just some small whiting and hard nose catfish.
Port Saint Lucie here. Fish out west of West Palm Beach. Also fish Stuart and Jensen Beach Causeways.
Absolutely agree. Where are you located??
Live in Port Saint Lucie. Just went to a favorite place of mine and fished exclusively for Mayan cichlids. Kept 10 nice fat ones. Great fight on light tackle and GREAT eating…….
Nice catch. I fish the same waters with similar success. I do freeze extra grunt meat with no issues. But I also freeze Spanish mackerel and bluefish and think they are just fine so it’s probably just me….lol.
Well done.
Fish either the Fort Pierce Inlet or off the beach. Use shrimp for starters. Should catch whiting( awesome eating) , croaker( good eating), pompano among others plus enjoy a day on the beach. Win Win.
To many people for one but have had some luck but very sporadic this year so far.
