Here is a Mayan Cichlid for comparison. This was caught on Merritt Island in the veterans park waters south of the mall. I'm told they are very good table fare. 🎣⚓️

that is a Mayan Cichlid not a snapper at all. I was fishing in Florida the last 10 days, not familiar with all the species. Bait shop employee showed me an APP caked “Picture Fish”. Very useful and free to use do first 14 days to try it out.

I find Google photos very helpful. If you have a picture of something that you want to know what it is I find it to be very accurate and useful. I usually crop the picture so that the item is the main thing in the picture, and then have Google photos search for it.
