Try the coves around the back of butcher Jones. I usually have better luck evening time into the night back there!

Any of the White Mountain Lakes this time of year are good to fish from the shore! My personal favorites would be Big Lake, Reservation Lake, Sunrise Lake and Earl Park! Some of those are on the reservation so don't forget your Rez. Permit. There are plenty of other lakes up there if those don't fit your needs. This time of year is absolutely beautiful up there good luck of you go!

Both it's a name that also describes the lake size. And also can be used to describe the fish that call it home! There really is some BiG ol rainbows in there! I caught a 6 pounder out of there Sept. Of 2022. And that is small compared to some of them pulled out of there!!

Fished Hawley, Earl Park, and Horseshoe Seneca last weekend caught a few at Earl and Horse Shoe nothing at Hawley. Wanted to make it over to Big Lake but never got around to making it out there! Spoke with some anglers who said they did real good at Big Lake . Caught my fish all around the dams of those lakes. Still chilly early mornings and as soon as sun sets so pack warm clothing.

How are you Larry? If you take the 60 east and exit at Power Road hang a left on Power and follow that road once you pass the intersection of Power and University then Mckelips road keep heading North on Power it will take you right to the Salt! The road dips and curves and look for a small road to your left that says Phon D Sutton follow that road a mile out so and it will take you to a big parking lot and from there you walk down to the river maybe a couple hundred yards or so not far at all! When they stock it they do it there and a could other spots on the river. Another place is stay on the main road past the Phon D turn off you'll go thru 2 stop signs and you will come to a bridge you drive over and immediately in the other side you can take a left or right and park in the parking lots there and again walk to water fish under the bridge but that spot is really popular got to get there early to get a spot to fish. It's a beautiful place but the fishing can be hit and miss but sure if there still doing the winter stockings but your best bet is to go a few days right after the stock! Good luck buddy hit me up if you have any other ?'s

I live in the small town of Globe which is not very far from the even smaller community of Cibicue on the White Mountain Apache Indian reservation. I really don't think there are many places to fish there(could be wrong) but like I said I've never heard of any places to fish there in Though there is Cibicue falls which is a popular fairly deep water hole feed by the Upper salt river. The place is apparently packed with people during the summer months who visit the place to cliff dive or jump. It requires a good little hike to get to it and you turn off the main high highway 60 at the salt river bridge then drive up along the river . Never been there but have friends who have but not to fish like I said to enjoy the swimming hole! Hope this helps!
Take care and Tight Lines to you!

Right now is the best time for trout fishing in the central Phoenix area and actually all over the valley at the community parks must of them have little lakes and this time of year Az Game and Fish Dept. Regularly stock them with decent and this year they are actually bigger trout then previous and they stock them on a regular basis. My suggestion to you is go on the web under AZ. Game and Fish website and click on 2022-2023 stocking schedule and it will list the community lakes and even the exact days they are planning on putting the fish in those areas. You will need to purchase an urban fishing license but you can actually do that one their website! I think?, pretty sure you can! And good luck to you guys!!

Hello! Just joined any info on any lakes around the central Phoenix area would be very appreciated. Winter time is just tough for me to get any action on that lakes. I love to catch all fish we have here but mainly I fish for bass and trout except from early May to end of July i focus all my attention on big ol Mr. FlatHead! So any tips, hot spots, areas you think I might be able to hook up, color patterns I might use of water depths I might fucus on... Anything would help this time of year!
