What does the water look like in Sardis

It's a couple feet over full pool. Really dirty on the north end. Not so much by the dam with about a foot of visibility.

Find the baitfish, find the fish. In my area most of the baitfish are away from the banks and in deeper water. They are out of my casting range from the shore. I'm actually fishing the narrower rivers and creeks where they are catchable from the bank right now. I use a good castable sonar along with my eyes. Follow the baitfish and like someone else said slow down. The Ned rig will catch them even when they are lethargic. Senko is great, very versatile. You might try the Senko, Neko rigged. Have fun!

Stay away from the Lews American Hero combo. The reel doesn't always release right when you go to cast. There are others if you read the reviews having the same problem.

The link in the first post is their website.. Has its own battery. About the size of a baseball. Cast it out and it gives you back readings to your phone like one on a boat. You can see depth, downed trees, grass, fish, and anything else in the water. Charts a map of the waters so you can see depth whatever you cast it. Sanders the info and you can revisit it later. It's almost like eyes under the water.. Works great! About $215 if you shop around online.

It definitely helps me.. I can see whether fish or on top, suspended or on the bottom. Hard or soft bottom. Where the bait fish are.. I've attached to a kayak and thrown it from the bank. It's a valuable tool. Like eyes under the water.

I have a deeper pro.. I use it mostly for mapping and structure. They work great! Nothing like knowing where the drop offs are.

I bought a kayak, fished it once for an hour and sold it. Small winds blew me around. Was hard on my back, too cumbersome and tight. It just didn't fit me.. Others like them. I bought a pond prowler and put a trolling motor on it. It fits me better. Just some things to take into consideration before buying. You may not be susceptible to my situation. Either easy, good luck! Hope you catch a lot of fish.
