I think colors don't mater a whole lot when it comes to fish snapping your lures . But it has more to luck ( Is there a fish near by? ) or how you work the lure . Finally colored lures are made to catch fishermen or women , not fish .

I always use Braid strait to the lures , but it seems to me the Braid is easy to get tangle , and it;s hell to untangle it , especially when fish are biting . How do you tie the braid to the leader anyway ?

I use the weedless hook with 2 tiny wires cover the point of the hook . It seems to help

Over 45 years fishing , I run into female fishing all the times , and I always treat them with respect and admiration . Sorry it spoiled your day . I wouldn't go fishing , hiking , jogging alone now a day with many crazy , sick people out there and I am a Male . Consider yourself lucky . It could 've been worse . You can catch them with Shrimp but the best bait for them is Blood worm , which is very expensive $15 / Dozen of these short and skinny worm .lol

I am very shy just like you . By Google map , I found a spot of a creek i 'd like to fish with my Kayak . There are 2 boat ramps but they are too far from the spot , but then I found a private lot next to the water , near the spot . It took me a long time but finally I decided to come and ask the owner , who happens to mow the grass for permission to launch the kayak , I thought the worse think is he says No . But to my surprise , he say yes and very friendly . I am so lucky .
