Opening day was extremely slow at Hat Creek I think the water was too fast and high. Also the trout tended to be very small like 6 too 8 inches. But it was a lot of fun no matter.
The fisherman’s pancake breakfast was exceptionally fun. Lots of great raffle prizes given away

Thanks for the report. Any day on the Hat is a good day!

Never seen this before. Hope you enjoy.

A very good day. The average size today makes storing the fresh cooked crab difficult. Nice problem to have

Had a great time last weekend up at the Lake, enjoying some cabin life, and fishing after the rains cleared. I was smashed by a big cat fishing my jerkbait along the shore here and quite the epic battle ensued. This beast completely mangled my treble hook beyond repair but I did manage to land the beast. I was able to get on a few Bass too. One lil and another good one. Had a great time, and we are headed back up today for some more of that sweet Cabin Life. Wish us luck. If you'd like to see some video and hear the whole story, etc. check it out at:https://bigslootadventures.com/big-november-clearlake-fishing-cabin-life/

Here's a few pics till then.

Hi all my name is Don.

I’m not exactly new to this forum. I’ve been reading everyone’s posts and fishing reports. Much appreciated thank you. I finally registered so I can contribute to the forum. I am located in Northern California.

Here’s a fishing report on 11/25/23 on the Trinity river, Trinity county CA.

My buddy and I started fishing in Junction City. We caught about a half dozen native trout, all released. My buddy finally caught a hatchery steelhead he kept. We decided to move around to various spots and was only catching native fish. We again moved to the last spot of the day. This is where all the real action happened. We only caught two small natives at this new spot. My buddy caught another keeper hatchery and I finally caught my limit of hatchery steelhead. We both ended the day with both of us limiting out. We did released two each of hatchery steelhead at the last spot. I caught the biggest, 25.5”, 5.79lbs. I’m in the green waders. All fish were caught bottom drifting with salmon roe from the salmon my buddy caught on the Chetco river in Oregon.

Thanks for reading. Tight lines!

I caught my first shark last night! It was awesome 😎. Then I caught 2 stripers as well. Both stripers were 16 in and 17 in. There were many very large fish breaking water right in front of me. I was fishing off the pier at Black point in Novato. The tide was out going. I was using squid. That was an awesome fishing adventure for me because I caught my first shark. Love the fight.

Fun times! Thx for sharing Butch
