Hi all my name is Don.
I’m not exactly new to this forum. I’ve been reading everyone’s posts and fishing reports. Much appreciated thank you. I finally registered so I can contribute to the forum. I am located in Northern California.
Here’s a fishing report on 11/25/23 on the Trinity river, Trinity county CA.
My buddy and I started fishing in Junction City. We caught about a half dozen native trout, all released. My buddy finally caught a hatchery steelhead he kept. We decided to move around to various spots and was only catching native fish. We again moved to the last spot of the day. This is where all the real action happened. We only caught two small natives at this new spot. My buddy caught another keeper hatchery and I finally caught my limit of hatchery steelhead. We both ended the day with both of us limiting out. We did released two each of hatchery steelhead at the last spot. I caught the biggest, 25.5”, 5.79lbs. I’m in the green waders. All fish were caught bottom drifting with salmon roe from the salmon my buddy caught on the Chetco river in Oregon.
Thanks for reading. Tight lines!
