Is there a difference between brands as far as getting wind knots? I know most of the time it comes down to poor technique, but are some brands more likely to get a knot?
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, definitely something to consider.
Saw1, Thanks for the reply, I always follow your posts even though I live in Washington, must have been an epic battle with the sturgeon. Most important, prayers go out to you and your mom at this time.
Hi all,
Looking for opinions on braid fishing line. I fish from shore (saltwater), using a spinning reel casting for salmon. I currently use 10 lb mono and have pretty good success with it, but with all the hype about braided line was wondering if I should give it a try.. I know there are some advantages like no line stretch, longer casts, etc.
Is there a better brand of braid to try if I decide to go that route? Thanks for any advice.
RJS, very true heaven and hell are real places, all of us get to choose where we will spend eternity. If we accept Gods free gift of salvation, we will spend eternity in heaven.
If you confess with your mouth the Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
Christmas has become so commercialized it is very easy to forget what Christmas is really about, the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. The best gift is not under the tree, but was nailed to a tree.
Yes, I too liked the old platform better
My wife and I stayed there once, it is an absolutely beautiful place. Glad you had a great time.
I don’t have a boat either. Fishing from shore for salmon right now, I also fish cranberry lake for trout, usually in the spring or fall after the trout plants. Sorry, I don’t crab or shrimp, so no advice there. Good luck!
Nice job, hopefully that is the first of many to come. Might see you on the beach one day as I go there as well.
You go into deception pass state park, follow the signs to north beach, parking is at the end of the road.
I fish deception pass from the shore. Use either a buzz bomb or rotator jig. Expect plenty of company, it can get crowded there. Haven’t fished the river, so I can’t speak for that. Good luck.
On Whidbey by the deception pass bridge. Fished at low tide, you will have plenty of others fishing there.
Another good area is bush point on the west side of the island.
