Christian Hymns

Some glad morning when this life is over
I’ll fly away
To that home on God’s celestial shore
I’ll fly away
I’ll fly away, oh glory
I’ll fly away, in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I’ll fly away

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

Well, friends, fishermen, and interested readers, can you sing those old hymns with conviction and sincere belief they will come true for you? Read the words slowly, they mean exactly what they are saying. So, what do you do if they aren’t quite fitting for your situation. That you have never settled accounts with Jesus and accepted him as your savior?

Both Heaven and Hell are real places. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to go to Hell if they believed it to be real, since it is for eternity, since it is forever! Yes, I know. Most people who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, believe all this religious stuff is just a ‘crock’ of misinformation so ministers can have a ‘cush’ living and speak once for 30 minutes on Sunday morning.

If you are even slightly interested, take your copy of the Holy Bible and read through Genesis. This story record by Moses happened and there are the first instances where God protected and guided his people out of Egypt and eventually the Promised Land. In this cohort, there were several folks who were disbelievers, much like yourself, but saw with their own eyes what God was doing to allow them to survive and enter the promised land.

I have been a lifelong Baptist, but you do not have to become a Baptist. You can receive salvation if you will accept the Lord Jesus as your savior, confess your sins and live a changed life. Believe me, you do not want to vacation in Hell, so give it some thought! Just Sayin…RJS

RJS, very true heaven and hell are real places, all of us get to choose where we will spend eternity. If we accept Gods free gift of salvation, we will spend eternity in heaven.
If you confess with your mouth the Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Matthew 7:13 " Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it."
We have a CHOICE which gate to enter through. BUT, they don't lead to the same destination.
Choose wisely.

They are very real places! The Bible is a factual history. And it is cool that you mention Moses. I have spent a lot of my life studying Old Testament "stories." But Moses is one of the most interesting to me, only because I've studied Egyptian history since I was a kid. I do not need archaeological evidence to justify my faith. But just the study of the Pharaohs throughout the Bible with corroborating evidence from Ancient Egypt is really amazing.
The answers are all there. Many pharaohs are in the Bible.
Jacob's Well, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc.
All that exists today.
Neat stuff.
Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Billycrap2, Donjames, Saw1, and MuskyJohn! I thought for a while, and prayed about posting anything that was religious, but finally decided all that bad could happen is I get kicked out. I'm glad you have pitched in! We have to remember that Jesus Christ paid an extremely high price for our salvation. Just Sayin...RJS

If our words saved just 1 person from an eternity in Hell, then it would be worth it. 😔🙏

Thank you, Bob and the others who have posted these devotions and “such” (like Commander’s testimony) recently.
I believe these have been inspired by God, especially since I’ve been sick and have missed posting the weekly devotional for the past three weeks.
I’ve only missed one other week in the past year+, so I don’t think this is at all a coincidence.
I am being blessed by ALL the recent spiritual posts!
God’s word WILL go out and accomplish what it is meant to.

”It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.“
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thanks y’all for your obedience to His voice… 🙏🏻

We will never know, but perhaps God, knowing everything, could have made his acceptance of anyone into Heaven much harder, it would be more believable! But, instead, he made it quite easy, but the independence of mankind, who are hardheaded, and creatures who like to think for themselves, have over thought this, and do not realize just how uncomplicated God's plan really is!
Regardless, if you want to go to Heaven, his plan is the only option. Just accept Christ as your personal Savior, confess you are a sinful individual, and resolve to live a changed life. There are people everywhere who are more than willing to help guide you, befriend you, and become a newfound brother. Take my word for it. You will never find a simpler offer and will not miss out on this, no matter what you have done in your past life.

Even if someone tells you that you have been such a sinner you do not stand a chance, that person is Satan, or an agent of Satan and they are liars! Ignore them. Just Sayin...RJS

Praying for healing for you brother!🙏
Jesus also bore our sicknesses for us.
Six years ago my wife had a stroke at the church while closing a women's group in prayer. By the time she reached ICU in the hospital she was half paralyzed and couldnt talk. A group of doctors called me into a meeting and discussed how with therapy she might be able to regain some functions in ten years. They asked me if I had any questions to which I responded
“I have faith that my Lord and Savior will heal her and she will walk out of this hospital completely healed!” They smiled at me and an intern from the back of the room said-amen!
Three days later she could talk mumbled and managed to communicate “Ezekial bones “
So I read the chapter Ezekial with her. (Will these bones live)
At the end of the chapter I prayed with her for healing. At the end of the prayer I said—Lord when you walked the earth you didn’t say get up, go see this doctor and he will help you. You said get up, pickup your mat, you’re healed! I continued—Lord we are believing for healing right now in Jesus name! At that moment, astonishingly the feeling returned to her right side….and we praised His name!
After 8 days from the time she was admitted to the hospital she walked out of the hospital needing nothing, completely healed!!!
Jesus is Lord!
I’m believing for you Randy, in His Glorious name!!
